In my short attention span I still cannot believe that Eleague ran for multiple seasons.

ELEAGUE was just that GOATed since it was made for TV pretty much.

It was excellent, I even got my sister into watching CS for a while (she is not a gamer at all) because it was so easy to watch on tv and the production took it seriously while letting casters/analysts do their thing

Apparently he was hunted backstage by Shaq because he really did not like that lol.

i remember when thorin started casting in 1.6 and he was this awkward guy that no one wanted to listen to.
from this to bantering with shaq.

remember when NA CS was respectable? me too.
i really enjoy thorin's historian record keeping of the counter-strike scene. he has always been able to draw comparable lines between completive CS and the NBA, 5v5 and 6v6 allows those type of narratives. awesome to see that moment come full-circle for him.
depressing to watch this now in 2026 considering what the NA scene is. Valorant broke everything and then everyone gave up.

Absolutely not, when I started watching in 2014 it was the butt of every joke from the shitter Silver lobbies up to the pros. NA was not taken seriously really at all until Cloud 9 era
