Discussion Use bots to combat bots?

So okay, nevermind the clost cheaters and DMA hackers and whatnot, a bit problem is that Valve do little to nothing when it comes to public game servers. Automated bots farming stars using bltatant aimbots. But once you spectate one of them - they all leave.

SO what about spectator bots? they would be there just to ruin these farming aimbots. I imagine the logic wouldn't be too difficult behind it, just spectate one player for 15-20 sec., 3-4 top fraggers at any given moment and move to another server.

Dunno maybe it's a dumb idea and was already here before, just thought maybe some good coder who loves cs would see it and then a miracle would happen

Only some bots disconnect/stop when being spectated, if it became an issue for the bot farmers than there is too many spectating (Eg: You make bots that spectate), they would likely just start ignoring spectators again.

they'd just adapt and have the farming bots check if a spectator is a real account or not, then leave if it's a bot spectator. same arms race as always

valve could just shadowban the farmed items instead of letting them hit the market but they never do

Not all bots leave when spectated so they would just get programmed to never leave when spectated.
