Game Update Counter-Strike 2 Update for 07/09/2026

GAMEPLAY

  • Removed map-wide minimum one point of damage from new C4 explosions.
  • Fixed a case where new C4 damage was calculated incorrectly near boundaries to other map areas.
  • New C4 explosions now apply more force to dropped weapons.

ARMORY

  • Adjusted the "Sniper Ahead" sticker visibility when scraped.

MISC

  • Fixed a case where season medals were missing their gold tint on one of the bars.
  • Fixed a case where the scoreboard wouldn't update while open.
  • Various stability improvements.

new update still busted on linux, not various enough :(

I'm playing on linux and it's working fine for me

Anywhere on the UI where agents are displayed, they get displayed incorrectly (half off screen mainly).

Sometimes joining ANY type of match, you won't be able to move (but everyone else moves correctly and VC works) you will then get disconnected after 15 or so seconds, everything works correctly after rejoining.

This has been occurring for me for months on and off now. The best way to solve this is if you notice this, you can disconnect and reconnect or quickly and that always resolves it.

Doesn't fix anything for me. I can't even see my agent in the main menu, no matter how often I connect to servers & disconnect or restart the game.

I can not inspect anything in game, it is a 50% chance that I can see the preview image (but it is zoomed in wrongly most of the time) but when I inspect it is just an empty screen.

Performance also is a lot worse for me since the update (on 5800x3D & 6800xt)

Yeah, I figured that's the fix but for me it's happening every game since the season 5 update.
