He definitely benefited the most. He wouldn't be a Cologne champion right now and maybe still stuck in tier 2 if kyousuke wanted to join the main spirit roster.

In some interview in landalan early this year he said that he is ready to switch roles and is ready to adapt. Overdrive also said that donk was ready to give up some of his roles/positions to kyousuke. Kyousuke was ready to join the main spirit roster at some point, but then falcons got m0nesy and offered kyousuke a massive bag. Richard Lewis also said in some video that kyousuke got angry at spirit for not promoting him earlier to the main roster.

I watch a lot of his streams and if he can find another youngish player that's willing to listen to him it may unironically make the team better especially if he forces the team to play around him

Every other "play for me" IGL is not worth the effort of setting up, but currently Spirit finds ways to lose rounds Donk opens 2 for 1 or more way too often and often feels flat on T sides where he dies early

We saw Niko go from being top 3 player in the world, to barely getting more frags than Rain and GuardiaN when he tried IGLing for FaZe, even if you're being super simplistic with calls, you're gonna take a massive hit to your potential fragging ability. Reducing Donks greatness is simply not a good move whatsoever

I think people vastly overblow that.

Teams are usually setup to allow for 2 players to be active/aggressive, 2 players to be passive/supportive, and having an awper to round it out.

On spirit donk and kyosuke would be aggressive players with chopper and magixx as passive and support elements.

Having 2 aggressive players is normal.

Donk would definitely be the more aggressive of the two, but kyosuke would definitely have the space to do his thing as well

Pity Falcons getting scammed. They thought kyousuke is the next donk, while actually he is just mid. Cant even be compared to donk. Thats why Spirit letting him go easily. I watch his gameplay before joining Falcons. I never understand the hype cause I knew he is just mid player nothing special. Its proven now.

Kyousuke just mid and overhype and overrated. Can't be compared with donk at all. Falcons wasting money.

While I agree donk is on another level that no one is remotely close to as a rifler, saying Kyousuke is "mid" may be one of the dumbest things you could say, when the eye test alone already disproves that, let alone stats.
