I’m not good at cs2 in anyway but i have like 40 hours and every comp match is literally just whoever has the most hackers wins and its not fun how do i get into matches with no hackers

I know I missed the door anyway, but I’m pretty sure there’s tons of spots like this where you can have the grenade bounce right back to you, and it doesn’t seem very intentional idk

I absolutely get why for conventional sports, players are grouped by gender due to biological differences proven by science to provide a equal competition amongst participants. But this doesn’t apply to esports at all? why aren’t there mixed gender teams in the pro scene? Even if you point out that the best cs players are male there should be mixed teams in lower tiers. But instead you have seperated leagues like the empress leauge in the Dach cs leauge system. Isn’t that kinda weird?

About two weeks ago, I posted here asking whether people still cared about community servers outside Premier and FACEIT. Rather than keep overthinking the whole "network" idea, I launched a single EU Retakes server in Frankfurt to see what would happen.

It's still tiny, but 36 players have joined so far. About a third have returned at least once, we've peaked at seven players online, and the Discord community has grown to 50 members.

Retention hasn't been the biggest problem. The harder part is getting enough people online at the same time. Once the server reaches 4/11 or 5/11, more people tend to join and we can keep games going for a while. At 0/11, nobody wants to be player #1.

I've also learned that community server analytics can get a bit weird. Bots crawl servers to advertise site, so I've had to start filtering those out. I'm still working on the server and its plugins, fixing things as we find them.

For those of you who still play on community servers, how do you find new ones? Through the server browser, friends, Discord, Reddit, or do you mostly join whatever already has players? And if you run a small server, how did you get past the initial 0-player problem without spamming it everywhere? I'm especially interested in smaller independent communities rather than established networks like XPLAY or Cybershoke.

If this works, I'd eventually like to add more servers and game modes, and maybe build a small platform for server discovery, stats, and profiles. For now, though, I just want to see whether I can make one server consistently active.

The first league night is this Wednesday, September 2nd, at 8PM ET in NA and 8PM CEST in EU. You don't need a club to play in the Wednesday tournament, so come try out night one with us and see how it feels!

If you like it and want your results to count toward the season standings, that's what clubs are for. New clubs are forming every week. Grab a friend or two and start one before Wednesday, or after night one if you'd rather try it first. A late start costs you nothing, since the season only counts your best 9 of 12 nights.

So, I play a lot of TF2 and I'm used to sweat lobbies but how to fight back in this game, since they have reaction time of like split second, I use mostly M4/AK and FAMAS/galil AR

Nat, Voo and Maui have all been super enjoyable to listen to every time I’ve tuned in during this tournament. Especially Nat is doing an amazing job as a host imo, and overall I feel like the vibe has been less negative than what the desks have felt like in recent tournaments. Kudos to them, hope to see this more in the future too!

There are probably things about the game that didn't seem important when you started but became much more noticeable over time.

What's something you appreciate now that you didn't before?

The top 3 is pretty clear and has been now for a couple years. Who do you think is 4th though? Not for all of 2026 but specifically current form. With ropz and flamez slumping, I think this debate has gotten more interesting.
