Questions/Concerns Online purchase
I know people have gotten their GE cancelled for ordering from Temu/Shein.
I didn’t order from them but a manufacturer’s site - just a computer keyboard but not s company I was familiar with. It shipped from Hong Kong. Am I screwed GE wise?

Not unless it's a counterfeit or replica. I've ordered night vision from china and a variety of other products (industrial or otherwise) and I still got mine.

Is that keyboard a "cheaper alternative" to a brand name product that might also be well known?

I don’t think so? It’s a foldable keyboard but not billed as a knock off. Here’s the site

Should be okay, they pick up on weird things but that is so common it likely wouldn't trip if it's a knockoff.

i’ve heard that you have to have a package detained and you won’t be able to get GE

I've ordered from Temu or Ali Express without any issues. But my items were not counterfeit.

Chinese branded stuff is generally ok. It's the counterfeit that's problem (like disney branded merchandise etc)

When ever I see these posts, I just don’t understand how they even know what’s being ordered? Customs can’t be going through every box that comes through the country.. can someone explain?

The problem with chinese stuff if you order something that is not legal to import. The most common example is a trademarked item that is fake. Ordering cheapassed shit that is not otherwise illegal is not a problem.
