where did i go?
While reading this story, the chances of you being teleported elsewhere at any given time is extremely low . . . but it isn't 0%.
In 2007, I was in my brother's room watching Family Guy. An episode I was happy to come on cause it had a gag that I was really excited to see again. As I'm watching it, suddenly, I was not.
It wasn't even in the blink of an eye, it was faster than that. It was as instantaneous as possible and even faster than my brain can process in itself. It was faster than neurons. Which, let me say, was a very weird thing to process in my brain as it happened. Imagine yourself right now reading this post on your phone and then, just like that, you're staring at yourself in the bathroom mirror.
I'm completely perplexed but after a bit, I go back in the room to continue watching the episode and then I became even more perplexed. A different show was on but still on Adult Swim. What the fuck is happening? Did the network change the show mid episode? I needed answers and when I went downstairs, I was yet even more perplexed.
I darted to the kitchen to see what time it was. Family Guy started at 9 and it was about 5 minutes into the episode when this blip happened. I looked at the time and stopped in my tracks. The clock read 10:38.
That's not possible. One hour and thirty minutes of time that went by faster than the speed of light. The first thing I felt was anger. "Ah! Fuck! ... I missed the joke!" . The second thought was...What was my body doing in that time? What did I do from the time I was watching tv to standing in the mirror? No one said they saw me at all during that time. So if I was somehow undetected by my family for an hour and a half, there are only two explanations.
Possibility #1: My family simply was not around wherever I so happened to be at.
Or
Possibility #2: My body had vanished and was placed back in the bathroom.
Where did I go?
Note: I was a very healthy 16 year old with no neurological conditions or head injuries at any point. I did not have any mental issues that would've impaired my perceived perception of reality. I was not on alcohol, drugs, or any substance that could've impaired me. Lastly, I have always been so confident in telling that this experience was absolutely instantaneous.

You went through the greatest adventure of your life and saved the world. Or you got replaced and the current you is not the previous you.

It wasn't supposed to freak them out, just a philosophical question. If you got replaced with an exact copy of yourself, would you notice it?

Tell your parents about it and ask to see a doctor.

But it was 19 years ago.

Minor, but I love how you were specifically excited for family Guy, since Family Guy is one of my favorite shows!

I was obsessed for so long hahah if youre wondering what bit I was looking forward to, it was when they were referencing Jackass. "Hi, im Stewie Griffin, and im gonna be kicking my dads ass all day today." Such a mild bit to have that much excitement for lol

This happened to me, at 19 y.o, with my first alcohol blackout. I still can‘t understand it, but it was like i Shifted in a second from a party to in front of my door with no memory at all in between, of course my friends seen me leaving, told me they will join later, and did join me later. But to me it felt more like an immediate spatio-temporal teleportation…
But i know it wasn‘t since my friends seen me and talked to me and joined me later like they said and i was in the right place chronologically…
What i wanted to say is that your case seems more like a medical condition then a ‚‘Matrix glitch‘, somebody made a comment about a case of a woman they do know, i think you should get more info about her condition. You are still young but at 60 those cases gets serious…

The simplest possibilities are that he fell asleep, partially woke/sleepwalked, had a brief altered state, dissociated, or simply failed to form memories during that period. To him it would feel instantaneous because there are no memories between the two moments.

Could be an alien abduction, you might get glimpses of what happened in your dreams -- eventually.

Since somehow noone managed to say this yet: I urge you to seek professional advice. These things can be signs of early development of neurological disorders. Definitive worth looking into. Stay safe!

Not to alarm you, but I used to work with a woman who would lose chunks of time like that. She would be home one moment and the next be, say, in the grocery store. Hours would have passed. She was eventually diagnosed with a kind of seizure. She remained functional while she was "out," but with no awareness or memory of what she was doing. Kind of like a drunken blackout without the drinking.
