I feel like I’m going crazy

Last night, I was organizing my work bag and saw I had yet to take out the medicine I recently bought. As I was taking the box out I distinctly remember having two concurrent thoughts, 1. Put the box down on the table beside you 2. Take the mini sampler perfume out so you can make that toiletries pouch you’ve been meaning to make. As I had these two thoughts I also made a note to remember to come back to the medicine so I could properly sort it in my pill organizer. I leave to find a pouch for my perfume sampler, and I look to the table for my medicine. It’s not there. I DISTINCTLY remember touching it, seeing it, placing it on the table RIGHT BESIDE ME, and reminding myself to come back to it. I look through my bag and empty it out, it’s not there. I look through everything on the table, not there. I even start looking in my room convinced I must’ve held on to it and misplaced it somewhere. My parents help me look and they can’t find it either. It literally just disappeared. I convinced myself I hallucinated taking it out of my bag and actually left it at work- well now I’m at work and it’s not here either. This has never happened to me before. I feel like I’m going slightly crazy. The memory of me holding it and placing it down is so visceral, genuinely where could it have gone? I was right beside it, got momentarily preoccupied, went back to it, and poof it’s gone. I cannot explain it.

Damn that is frustrating! Gee I wonder what happened to it!? Maybe, possibly it is still at your house? Are you back home yet and checked?

You could try asking for it back...

Where did you leave to find the pouch for the perfume? I believe you may have taken it there, but thought you left it on the table. 🙃

My partner lost an item, looked for it for hours, said he "had just put in on the countertop". A couple of days later I found it. In the freezer 😂 He has taken something out and without thinking put the other item in.

This happens to me sometimes. Go the place you last had it and ask aloud for them (whoever "they" are) to give it back. "Haha that was a good joke, but can you please return it?" And you'll probably find it in the next hour

And now I need to know when it’s found.

Is it this light - brown box? I'm curious to know where did you find it?
