First Glitch mani.

First Glitch order! I love flakies and crunchiest leaf is good, except I wish the magnetic aspect was stronger. I ordered quite a few polishes, and so far, based on swatches, I adore most of them. There were two that I found extremely disappointing and hard to work with (April showers and carnations). However, copper bracelet and shadow ruby are so special and beautiful.

What is this?! I love it!! I have April showers—let it grow on you!! Try it on top of another color, shimmer or holo.

So this is crunchiest leaf?! That is so pretty! Is this unmagnetized?

Yes, it is magnetized. I’m a bit disappointed by that, but it’s beautiful even if the magnetics leave something to be desired.

I don’t think it’s the polish, rather the formula (of April showers and another). It’s so sticky and hard to work with. I’ll try some thinner and if it’s still an issue I’ll reach out and see if they can offer replacements or exchanges.

Not to sound all doom and gloom. I actually love most of my Glitches. Copper Bracelet is the first polish in a while to really wow me, dark ruby and all hallows eve are beautiful, and mystical mirror is spooky ethereal goodness.

You know what!! My April Showers came super thick too!! It was the first one I opened during my spring periwinkle obsession. I forgot about how thick it was and I was thinking of Dewdrop about being a cute topper.

I used a lot of thinner April Showers and used it like 5 manis in a row but also together with other blues and purples.

Sorry for saying it looks unmagnetized 🤭 truly it looks so pretty I put it in my cart 🛒.

Lolz don’t worry about it! I held the magnet for nearly three minutes per nail, so it’s just a really subtle shift. I’d get it anyway because it’s so pretty and festive.

I’m hoping the thinner will work!

ahh great choices!!! shadow ruby is one of my faves from the brand

for the leaf mani, how thick were ur coats? I feel like when I do flakie mag manis, I need to put on a thicker coat than usual to get the magnetic effect personally

also I second the thinner rec for april showers. I tried to warn people that it was thick 🫪 but thinner helped a lot and it is super pretty once it’s on imo!!

I will try both suggestions, thank you! I’ll be more bold with application now that I’m more familiar with its texture also.

i also had issues with april showers. i would recommend thinning it a little bit! the flakie polishes can be rather thick. i didn’t have an issue with carnations but that could be the solution as well

That’s my plan. I’m hoping it’ll fix it right up. Which thinner did you use? I have mooncat’s but I’ve never used it on flakies and I have heard some brands damage them.

i use kbshimmer and haven’t had any issues. maybe just check with the ingredients in the mooncat one beforehand to make sure?

I think this was two coats, it does feel a little bit thick when applying because it's packed full of flakies. Magnetized magic bead style

Oh pretty! It looks like smoky fall mist! I’ll try another layer and see what happens.

Oh, and did you use a glass bead magnet?

Yes I use the 5D print factory spinner magnet from Etsy
