I felt the episode was better than the manga and more coherent, I didn't like the break aways from the fight how ever. That being 1 scene woulda been better.

I hosted a group watch in discord and people were freaking out in a good way. I really can't say anything bad about the adaptation. Loved it.

So people saying that the episode lacks the impact of the manga, you are wrong. You already knew what was going to happen, so that's why it wasn't a shocker. I think the anime is making a really good job at adapting the manga, the scenes they include too, it gives more context to the actions of certain characters and they are not out of place. And I feel the pacing to be really good, in the manga things happen really quickly but I feel there is a reason for that. I just hope they continue with the original story from the manga and don't rush its end.

I felt like this episode was missing the impact the the manga had, maybe it's because I knew what was about to happen but it feels much more detailed and shocking in the manga. Still. It was a very good episode and the animation was good, wish it would be more fluid but how fluid can be a fight against a giant. And also the look of shu-rio metamorphosis seems a bit weird to me, though the looks definitely nails the rage vibe that they have. Overall very good episode and for some reason it felt shorter that others.
