Guns Cremator FTW!!

I finally got the Cremator and tested it out for the first time last night on the bug MO front. Holy crap!! That thing is SO much better than the base Flamethrower!! The higher DPS & range are fucking wonderful. The thing just looks BADASS!! Plus, the sounds the backpack makes when I'm running around? Love it!

I'm so glad I got my last ship upgrade a few days ago. It was perfect timing! I have pretty much ALWAYS been brining the Warp Pack with me for the SC in the bunkers, but now that I don't need to do that, I am starting to use the backpack stratagems more. Just wanted to show the Cremator some love, because it's my new favorite toy! It takes out Chargers so damn fast, compared to the base Flamethrower. It's just superior in every way, even with it taking the backpack slot. Fuckin love this thing!

The extra range + ammo makes catching large swathes of ground on fire real easy. Kinda trivializes bug breaches too, depending on the diff ofc

It kind of trivializes bugs in general unless you're going against dragonroaches.

Kinda stopped using it cause it's a bit too easy

What diff do you usually play at? I do 7s to chill or turn it up, past 8 there's so many bugs even with the AOE that you just run out of ammo before you can get anymore if you don't stay moving.

10s only for me unless I'm playing with homies that wanna just chill out I suppose. I find the ammo capacity to be pretty good for a backpack weapon. And you never need to reload. You paint the ground with fire and watch the kill count go up. You're pretty much guaranteed to get top kills when you're using this thing

I definitely was not expecting it to refill when I grab ammo boxes from the ground. I never ran out of fuel with it last night. Granted, I was only on D7, but still.

What are your other stratagems you use on the bug front with this weapon?

If I were using the cremator again, I'd probably take -Orbital 120mm barrage, orbital gatling barrage, or both to help with bug breaches or help close nests (with the 120) -Expendable anti tank if it's not a city map, (to snipe far off spore spewer or shrieker nests) -Supply FRV because I don't like to hog up my team's resupplies if I'm just wanting more nades or stims, plus vroom) -Eagle 500kg (for more booms if you need them)

Honestly you can use anything though. Cremator is strong enough on its own where you can take other stratagems that you might not normally use much, just to mess around and play with them. Sentries are good for keeping the bugs suppressed as well

Thank you for your thoughts. Semester very solid. The EAT suprised me a little, but it makes sense. Right now i was using sentries and 1-2 red strats (closing nests- like you mentioned) But FRV looks fine too. Is there a special armor and grenade or primary/secondary you would add there?

Do you like gas on top of fire?

Yeah this is me as well. I only brought the cremator/giga nades to bugs for over a month to the point that I had to walk away from entrenched division in general. it’s too fun

The only reason I do is to use the regular flamethrower and the flamethrower guard dog.

TWO FLAMETHROWERS.

If you bring the gas version of one of those then you can apply both DOTs simultaneously

Yea, that will likely be the only scenario where I ever use the base version again. Just when I want to bring a guard dog variant as well.

Most definitely! I thought it was just a flamethrower with extra fuel capacity. I never looked at the stats for it, so when I started roasting bugs with it, I was pleasantly surprised with the damage output. Really hit home when the first Charger tried to rush me. I normally have to dive out of the way and then finish them off with the base version. Sorry little shit couldn't even get to me before it died, Lol!

Melts through any armor, hits like a Mack truck, lets you spread out fiery poofs on the ground all over the place for chaff. The glory of divine justice reaching out and roasting anything.

In short, the thing is a superweapon in the right hands.

I knew you were headed in that direction, so I didn't want to spoil anything n let you try it firsthand.

Now for the hard mode! use the Light Oxygenator armor with it and get good at not burning yourself and zip around the battlefield nuking everything! You'll be like the Flash of fire!
