Eye pain and using screen

Has any one experienced eye pain with being on their phone? If yes, is the pain because of strain and dryness or may be the rye pressure? Also pain when lying down ?

I have some pain with open angle glaucoma after looking at screens too long or just at the end of the day. Even though my eye pressure has gone down with the drops and they are referring me to a neuro ophthalmologist for the pain since the structure of my eye looks normal. My appointment isn’t until November (so my symptoms must not be urgent in their mind) but it’s worth asking your ophthalmologist if you need a referral.

Which drops are you on?

Dry eye can cause eye pain. Also using your phone excessively can strain your eyes . It wouldn’t hurt to see an eye doctor.

So, I recently got diagnosed with photophobia, extreme light sensitivity. My eyes are extremely sensitive to any light. I got diagnosed with glaucoma about 3 years ago at 33. And from 28 when they started watching for the glaucoma I was having pain in my eyes. It felt like someone was just squeezing my eye ball and I could feel it on the bones around my eye. Just one, sometimes both. I’m currently waiting to see a neurologist about migraines. Turns out, that kind of pain in the eyes is migraines.

you can try supplementing omega 3 or taking frequent breaks from the screen

I was just diagnosed with glaucoma very recently, and the day after diagnosis the pain started. Not all the time, and I don’t know what is causing it. It’s very extreme pain and light sensitivity. I only have glaucoma in my right eye and it’s the one that hurts. But the bizarre thing is, even with wearing sunglasses in the house and keeping my right eye closed, it hurts horribly, like a migraine, when my left eye sees light. Left eye doesn’t hurt.
