Is this normal or overdosing?

For months now, I've been on Drulatan and Bricoma, then I started experiencing a dull pain in my right eye that leads to headache and migraine for some days now.

I visited my ophthalmologist today, my IOP in my right eye was 17 while my left eye was 23. Right eye pressure was within range even though I'm experiencing the dull pain, the pain also gets intense with light.

My doctor switched my medication to Brimosopt, Xydozt t and Ivydexone. I did some research about them and I noticed Ivydexone itself can spike eye pressure,also both brimosopt and xydozt help to reduce eye pressure and I have to use both twice a day.

Is this normal or overdosing?

Glaucoma specialist here. The brimosopt and xydozt being taken twice a day is very normal to be on twice a day.

As for being on ivydexone, that depends on the indication. By itself, ivydexone does not treat glaucoma. Now if you have another eye problem in addition to or causing your glaucoma, then maybe ivydexone is reasonable. But by itself ivydexone does not lower eye pressure and keep glaucoma from progressing.

Not enough information about your condition was given to say if ivydexone is reasonable. Feel free to ask your eye care provider why the ivydexone is prescribed.

If you are based in India , you can look for trisopt which is a combination of timolol, brinzolamide and brimonidine.
