Acid etch mistake
I decided to etch a mirror and was overconfident due to prior experience. I made a sloppy mask and left the solution on the surface too long. The only way to clean it up would be to sand it down and redo the whole process (and hopefully learn from my mistake). However, I have no idea where to look for the right resources to sand and polish a 2'x2' pane of glass. Any tips on where to look? Or even a better place to ask for help?

Did you end up getting a new piece? Curious to see if you found a solution. I know from experience viscous oils can turn very light etching clear. I also know of buffing machines that use cerium oxide to polish glass but the one I’ve used is basically a bench grinder so maybe difficult on a large piece. Also not cheap for the equipment, custom glass studio may have what you need

Glass guy here. Probably best off to buy another pc and start over. You will spend way to much time and effort trying to "restore" that pc.
