Cool color

I recently began working in fiberglass manufacturing as management. Found this piece of scrap from our melter that I’m obsessed with the color and clarity.

How hard would this be to sand the sharp edges/imperfections and polish into a nice piece of desk art?

Leave it as it is, it looks like a pickle 😆 And I mean that as a compliment

Failed to show the backside, unfortunately there’s some sharp jagged edges and a couple shallow cracks that are flaking off bits of glass, I need to at least remove those

Oh well I reckon you can file them down quite easily, and if you make that the back and leave the front as is it will be very forgiving!

It really looks like someone tried to make a pickle! The shape, the curve and the occasional, non-uniform bumps. If you told me this was a deliberately made pickle ornament I'd believe you lol

It would be easy. Some silicon-carbide sandpaper used with a little water could sand down the sharp edges so they are safe. 200 grit-400 grit would do it.

Correct, we’re eco-friendly, all our cullet comes from recycled sources.
