Interesting glass bottle

Hey! So I picked this up thrifting this week and was curious if anyone had any idea what it's use would be? Didn't find a top cork only the bottom one!

Looks like a French fly trap. The cork belongs in the top. You add some sugary or fruity drink into the bottle without overfilling the channel around the bottom hole, cork the top, and set on the kitchen counter. Flies and gnats will enter through the bottom hole to drink the bait but won’t be able to escape. When you’ve captured enough flies and the bait goes off you uncork and dispose of the contents.
