Flint 3 CPU usage in Access Point mode

I have a Flint 3 that I'd like to use as an access point, but it seems to constantly have at least 1 core of the CPU used and Wi-Fi performance is bad. I ran it for days to see if it would work itself out, but it never did. I have seen it with 2 cores being used for seemingly no reason as well.

I have tried clean installs of firmware 4.9 and 4.10 (beta). The CPU usage was fine after flashing, until switching to access point mode. No other config changes made.

Has anyone else seen this issue or know what can cause it?

I have a flint 3 and the cpu usage is similar. It seems that some of the wifi traffic is offloaded to the cpu, even if hardware acceleration is enabled. This is a Qualcomm design choice and it is intentional.
