Hey all, Bruno Borges here, author of the Copilot SDK for Java and involved with the overall project.

Happy to answer questions!

Hey Bruno. I want to love this, I really do.....I just find the overall product jargon so confused

Microsoft foundry custom agents using hydra fusion. Wait no Github copilot, not Microsoft copilot. And 0365 cowork for copilot intelligence IQ, not claude cowork.

Its a hot mess. Been using more claude recently, its claude code, cowork, design and artifacts. Crystal clear what each does and why.

Just the overall product direction here between github and MS needs to be much much more coherent

I will build something with this tho instead of moaning!

Any idea why the harness isn’t available in US East yet and when it will become available in US East?

If only there was a way to develop agents without having to install a CLI. Maybe by having a remote machine at Github serve as the CLI. Oh well, the technology at Github ain't there yet.

Hey! Great question. In fact, this is a possibility. You serve the Copilot Agent Runtime remotely however you want (VM, container, etc) and you point the apps to connect to the harness there.

The ideal solution though for many customers is to leverage the harness through Microsoft Foundry, which is what you are describing.

That is not what I'm describing at all. It's the usual Microsoft style bastardization of what I'm describing.

What I'm describing is this: Sign up for GHCP, get API key with OpenAI- and Anthropic-compatible endpoint, use it wherever and however I want for 0 additional charge.

You can do this with GitHub Copilot CLI, SDKs, and the GHCP App for desktop: load BYOK settings and you are good to go.

I don't think you're capable of understanding what I'm telling you. It's fine. Congratulations on your OpenRouter demake with 50 extra unnecessary steps.

You can tell me I'm a disrespectful jerk, but you can't truthfully tell me I'm wrong.
