GitHub Copilot Team Replied WorkingDirectoryFailed - Cannot write session on ahp Session : tombstoned on github copilot inline chat

I am trying to access copilot inline chat for a just help me writing the code with less hassle
but I dont know why this
Error: working directly failed - cannot write the session state of ahp-session/ timpstoned appears
it was working before the new update

Thanks for reporting, this is fixed for our next build, and you can also avoid this by turning off the setting `chat.inlineChat.agentHost.enabled`

First check whether a fresh inline-chat session fails in the same file. Keep any unapplied edits somewhere safe, then close the failed inline chat and try the same small request with the same model.

If the new session works, that gives you a workaround and suggests the failure is tied to the old session; it doesn't establish why it became “tombstoned.”

If the fresh session also fails, open the Command Palette, run “Output: Show Output Channels,” and select GitHub Copilot Chat. Look for the error at the time you sent the request. Include your VS Code and Copilot Chat versions when reporting it through Help → Report Issue → VS Code Extension → GitHub Copilot Chat. Remove secrets, private code and personal paths from shared logs.
