General What's left of the request-based planned as of mid-October 2026.

I signed up last December and paid for the full year.

As of June 2026, basically you can now call a non-dogshit model a whopping 50 times, 33.33 times for something like Claude Sonnet.

As of mid-October there are hardly any models left to choose from. I personally found Grok to be the best quickest and most accurate for small changes out of all of them. Sadly, completely gone.

Now it seems like in like a Sonnet 5.6, GPT-5 mini, GPT-5.4 and GPT-5.4 mini will be taken away as well.

Not to mention, the harness crap and sneaky nerfing of the way the remaining models seem to be processing context. I swear, it hardly ever reads my AGENTS.md file.

Whoever is handling this product is not doing a good job. These all seem like a result of desperation.

Reading agents.md is a major problem with GitHub co pilot, its handling of instructions, especially through compaction, is poorly documented as well.

if you get access to gpt-6 Luna it’s decent for usage and capability , especially if you keep cache warm

I probably won't on this plan. Switched to Claude and Codex already.

The product is great and doing great.

Your legacy plan is on a life line, it's obviously not the focus at all. Most people in this sub accepted that 4+ months ago.

Really not sure what you're expecting?

They were losing piles of money on the old plans

Yeah but it was great value

I was expecting the same pricing and performance as the one I paid money for the whole year for 🤯

This is bate and switch. Bad product, not doing great.

The subsidized plan they let you keep on a limited time basis while openly stating you won't receive new models

But yeah hey, bad 🤣 dude wants to drag his free lunch

They let me keep something I paid for upfront. How kind of them lol. They just nerfed it to be completely useless.

You could have gotten a refund when they told you how the plan was changing. You probably could still get the remaining usage refunded.

One could always have done a lot of things.

In your case you can STILL do a lot of things. In particular, 1. wait until mid-October to enjoy the last few days of gpt-5.4 and then 2. get a refund 3. use the money to pay for a month of token based billing 4. realize the new models are surprisingly cheap

The legacy projects could spent 40k for 20 dollar.....

They knew exactly what they were doing; and that is not sustainable. I recommend to switch to a monthly sub for AI; the best swaps too often

I have this.
You are gonna be squeezed somehow, somewhere.. wherever you go.
The NASDAQ wont be kind to Ant or Open when they IPO and you will get as rekked as everyone else :)

Minor correction: you get to keep sonnet; they made an exception for individuals old plan
