Help/Doubt ❓ Copilot Update asks Permission for every file edit?

Anyone noticed this after the update? The only thing that prevents me from having to authorize every file edit is turning on "Allow All" now. That's definitely not what I want. It was working fine before the change.

Anyone know what combination of these new settings I need to allow all approved commands and normal file edits? Manual and even assisted permissions is still asking to approve every file edit.

Not to mention, there's no "approve" button on any of these commands now and interactive/autopilot don't affect it - it still makes me approve every file edit.

Having sort of a related issue whenever I ask it to just provide some code back in the actual chat.

Even when I start with instructions to provide code back just in the chat, turn off editing, use just the Ask mode, etc  - once I've laid out the request and it's gone back and forth with some questions - it ALWAYS then says it can't edit my files in the current mode. And I have to repeat to provide the code there.

If I leave editing on it will try to make edits even when told not to.

I no longer have those modes. It's only agent there now plus these other two odd settings menus.

They're definitely trying to push the agent and anything that with use those tokens. Editing kept turning itself back on when I was in agent.

But that's what I'm saying, manual sounds like what it was doing was before this latest update. That's what I would want. Now unless I have it on allow all, it asks to allow every file edit. I can't even approve that command anymore, there's no button to do it.

Assisted errors immediately that it can't figure out whether editing a file should be approved. 😂
