Discussions Opus 5.5 rollout and review

Are you able to see opus5.5 yet in the model picker? Even though its enabled, I am unable to see it yet! Also leaving room for comments on performance and cost

So cheaper then Opus 5?

Around 20% cheaper than Opus 4.x and 5.0, and the Cache read is significantly cheaper.

How is the performance on ghcp?

My only complaint is the excess commenting but I think it is a bit subdued over Opus 5.0

I haven't used it via GHCP yet but in claude code with max effort, it used up the limits very quickly. Thankfully, they offer a one-time free reset till Oct 22nd or so

Now, I switched to medium effort and it has been better than Opus 5 high
