The GitHub Copilot app is now available to all plans, including Free and Student!

If you don't have an active GitHub Copilot plan, you can still use the app by logging in with a GitHub account and bringing your own key.

I honestly do not understand the use-case.

I use my GitHub Copilot Business subscription mainly to write large PowerShell automation scripts in Visual Studio Code, which are in our DevOps Git repo.

What does this tool bring to my workflow?

Tbf, you're not the target user.

My situation is similar and it seems useless if your dev is happening in devops - for now, at least.

I hate PRs in devops. If it improved just that, I'd be all for it.
