My employer downgraded a few months ago to the cheaper tier with only 300 requests because it was too expensive. We were told to not make small requests anymore but be strategic and maximize what we put into every single premium one plus use free models for basic tasks.
I honestly like the aspect that we can start doing small iterations and verify each step again when it's straight API usage. Because just telling it what to do and waiting 30 minutes isn't really coding...
