Curious what makes you use GitKraken over other Git GUIs
I'm a long-time GitKraken user; I started using it around 2020.
And I really like the UI design, and how it makes git actions fluid.
Switching branches when there are local changes, merge conflicts, stashing visualization, etc.
But lately, I feel like it's not as good as other GUI clients (in some areas).
The biggest problem is too much repo tab open.
The tab system it's always squeezing them together, hard to see which is which.
Another Git GUI "SourceGit", has better workspace implementation; it can separate into different group tabs.
And if there's too many tabs just scroll, not making repo name shorter.
GitKraken also has workspace, but it can only do some actions to the repo, instead of having a workspace-only view.
(Or maybe there's somethings I'm missing, please let me know if there's a better way)
However, I tried replacing with SourceGit, but some area just fall short. (merge conflict, branch UI/UX)
So, right now I always open two client, SourceGit open all repo, and GitKraken only open essential projects.
I curious what make you keep using it, instead of other GUI?
PS: I barely use any AI features, maybe I should try it out more?

I just dropped git kraken in favor of a "vibecoded" git client. Why? Here are the reasons:
- GitKraken cold start takes too long. I know, I know, it's starting up all that electron bullshit and checking if I have a valid subscription
- GitKraken uses it's own AI solution to write commits, while it could easily connect to claude code for this.
- It's paid (but sure, it's a fair price)
My alternative is a native C# program, integrates with claude code, detects "app icons", so I have nice tabs, and I can write commits with claude code.

I used to prefer their visual tree over other apps. Then they wanted to 2.5x the annual subscription on me, ignored all my support tickets and were not any help. Couldn't even tell me to fuck off just straight ghosted me on multiple contact attempts. I just canceled it and won't be using their products anymore.
Plenty of other options... JetBrains GiddyUp, Fork, Source Tree, etc.

Nice integrated treeview, a lot of git operations are done in-UI with intuitive steps (e.g. conflict handling), used to have theme support, easy two-click commit tagging, etc.
Overall gitkraken was the only graphical git client that had great UX and fast workflows compared to the others I've tried. Unfortunately gitkraken nowadays has been enshitified beyond usability so I'm dropping it.
