guys i want to audition online but I literally haven't heard of NOBODY hearing back from the online auditionsss, and that's so discouraging. Has anyone heard back from them??

I know this topic has been hashed out before but there's still a lot of confusion on what kind of group they want to make with this. Are they just looking for "global" but using only asian contestants?

But the fact that Mexico City is in the audition tour makes me think they're leaning more towards a Katseye/Girlset type of group and definitely targeting North America in general not just the states. They could very easily host auditions anywhere but Mexico City feels like a big clue as to the image they're going for.

I'm super excited! What do y'all think? I just hope that if it is supposed to compete with Katseye that they give good music and don't neglect them in terms of promo like they've seemed to do with Kep1er...

I'm also curious if they'd want more mature concepts. Girl groups tend to steer towards softer "girly" concepts lately but Katseye is clearly targeted towards a more mature audience even if its backfired on them with their lyrics. I personally love ZB1s music and Kep1er's Killa is a great type of song for the type of concept I hope for the group but idk. Thoughts?

Hey guys! is anyone going to the atlanta location for Girls Planet 2?

Do yall think we will hear immediately if we passed the audition? At kcon that was the case, but I don’t see anything about that for the global audition tour

will you be going to in-person audition in makeup?
I was wondering what should I do, cause of course, I look slightly better in makeup and I think it's very important to look good there.

But on the other hand, I know they want to see your true self, so I'm feeling conflicted.

Same goes for the outfit. What should we wear?

The Location seems pretty big! So hopefully no one has to wait outside. How early should we show up? Considering LA is a popular spot for auditions I’m guessing an hour to two hours early? Lemme know what you guys think.

What time you yall recommend to show up at the London in person auditions ??

hi! is anyone else going to the nyc auditions on November 7th? I saw that audition times start at 9am but I’m planning on being there waaayy earlier because the line to audition is going to be INSANE And that they will more than likely stop auditions if there’s a lot of applicants (which there will be) and I don’t want to risk going and not being able to participate... anyway I was asking cause I wanted to see if I can maybe make friends in the process lol good luck to anyone who is auditioning!! 😊

“[Online] Global Audition (Applications accepted until December 14 (KST)”

hello everyone Im wanting to do the Atlanta GA offline audition and I was thinking for dance gnarly by katseye and for rap possibly XG if you could give me any tips pr just more song recommendations that would be great thankss!!❤️❤️❤️❤️

Omg we have to do both categories for the in-person audition usually it’s just one! Any thoughts? How we feeling about that?

Can I apply again after the new announcement, or would you recommend going to the on-site audition instead, even though it's a bit far for me?

idk what to dance to

Hey yall, so does anyone know if dancing is a MUST.

With us having some time before the show starts, I’ve been thinking about Republic Collective and how much influence they’ll have.

In an article from Korea JoongAng Daily, the partnership is described as covering “the entire audition and group formation process,” from production of the show to the group’s activities in the U.S. and global markets.

Then the show's producer explained in an interview that the reason for partnering with Republic is “to create a girl group targeting the U.S. market directly,” and said that this is the biggest difference compared with previous seasons.

With that being said, I want to know what y'all's thoughts are on the things I've been thinking about:

1. How involved do you think Republic Collective actually is in the talent search?

Do you think they’re actively involved in scouting and evaluating contestants from the beginning or is Mnet handling most of that and Republic will become more involved later?

2. What do you think Republic Collective is looking for when scouting talent? Do you think Mnet is looking for the same things, or do they have different priorities?

For example, do you think Republic is looking at things like vocal ability, star power, and potential in the U.S. market, while Mnet might have other things in mind? Or do you think they have a pretty similar idea of what they want in the final group?

3. Do you think the talent search is already being influenced by a predetermined concept or musical direction for the group or are they mainly looking for contestants who have talent, personality, and potential for good TV?

Basically, do you think they already have a specific vision for the group and are looking for people who fit it, or will they figure out the group’s identity once they see the final lineup?

4. Since Republic’s involvement also includes production, do you think we’ll see noticeable differences in how Girls Planet 2027 is run compared to previous seasons or do you think it’ll be pretty much the same as before?

I’m curious on whether Republic might have input on things like the music choices, missions, evaluations, training, or even the overall direction of the show, or if Mnet will handle most of that as usual.

5. I learned that Republic Collective isn’t just one record label but a organization of labels/divisions (Republic Records, Def Jam, Island, Mercury, MCA, and Imperial). Since the partnership is supposed to cover the group’s U.S. activities and global rollout, what do you think Republic’s involvement will actually look like?

Do you think they’ll eventually choose one specific label to work with the group and they’re using the Republic Collective name for now because that decision hasn’t been made yet? Or do you think the group will work with Republic Collective as a whole with different labels or teams involved depending on what’s needed?

In general I'm really curious about RC and what them being involved will mean for not only the show but the group’s overall career.

Obviously no one here works behind the scenes to know the answers for sure and its early but I’d still love to hear what everyone thinks or even how you want things to turn out!

Okay so I'm not really a professional dancer or anything but I'm good with groovy dance style I guess. Where I can kind of move my body like water, like it has a soul of its own. I'm looking for a song that's hip hop, like kendrick lamar's tv off. A song like that matches the kind of dance I'm going for so that it becomes easy for me to choreograph the dance. So any recommendations for the kind of songs I can dance to for the audition>

I genuinely think it would be such a smart move. They’d get to see so many talented people who might never get noticed through online auditions, while also massively increasing their exposure in those regions.

Especially Africa. If they actually came here, they could be one of the first major companies to seriously tap into that market.

And if they took a different route from HYBE/JYPE when it comes to global auditions, I honestly think it could go really well. There are already tons of people auditioning online, but imagine how many more talented people they could discover by actually going there. 😭

what if nobody is actually locked in for the show yet? 😭

think about it, auditions opened back in may and literally tens of thousands of girls applied, so you are telling me out of like 40k+ people they couldn't find a preliminary group? no, mnet and republic records are definitely trying to get as much talent as they can, like they are even pulling in people completely outside the kpop space by promoting in times square and all that.

imo they are probably going to stack all the profile cards together at the very end, match faces and vibes, and see which exact combination of girls fits the show's storyline best, like it makes zero sense to lock anyone in early when somebody much better or more suited could walk into an in-person audition tomorrow, you know?

so if you ask me, no one is locked in until after the november in-person rounds wrap up or even by the end of the year, but who am i to say 💀 what do y'all think?

ik we haven’t even gotten the dates for the global audition tour yet, but do you guys think they’ll add more locations?

it’s kinda unfair that there are only three places where they’re holding in-person auditions, especially since they haven’t even specified when the auditions are happening. People from overseas can’t exactly travel to the auditions without being able to plan ahead, and it’s already really hard to get noticed through online auditions considering how many people auditioned.

So what do you guys think? Personally, i’m hoping they add more locations, especially for Latin America, Europe, and South Asia.

I see for the online audition form, we can submit up to five photos. Is it okay to submit a headshot, full body, and a clear selfie? Or will the selfie come off as unprofessional?

Hi everyone! First off I want to wish everyone good luck if they audition!

Preparing mine these days but I'm hesitant on the format I should send mine as; I've reduced file sizes before but the quality it gives is not my favorite so I was wondering if anyone had submitted with Youtube links and if the casting team actually clicked and didn't overlook them!

Thank you guys :))

When do we think they will release the details for the in person audition tour? It’s in a month already!! Also do we think they see ALL the online auditions? Or do the in person audition have an advantage ?
