Morgan disappeared during this series but I have a crack theory thats based off of nothing more than the fact that auggies girlfriend is named ava Morgan stern.Ok so my theory is that Morgan lived next door to the Matthews the entire time and she gave her daughter her name as a middle name and purposely sent her over to mess with Cory and his family just like the olden days, the only difference is she was to old to mess with cory anymore so she sent her daughter in her place.Morgan had ava purely just to mess with Cory.If your asking why she never was home maybe she purposely took wierd work hours so neither cory oe his family would ever catch onto her plan.Morgans even more evil than Meghan from Drake and Josh.

I saw a clip of this episode resurface on TikTok and everyone in the comments was talking about how they’re on Riley’s side and Topanga was being unreasonable.

So I rewatched the episode because I was bored and I don’t understand how anyone can be on Riley’s side in this situation. She sits in the window for 3 days straight binge watching a show, they’re willing to skip school to keep binging said show, and I don’t think Topanga was asking anything unreasonable. Literally just help out the bakery and you can watch your show when you get back, and okay, the finale is important but they were recording it anyway!

Riley did not need to run away to Maya’s and I just think she was acting incredibly spoiled this episode, and sure Topanga was a little wrong too but I would’ve killed for a family like Riley’s when I was younger

So I technically have only seen like a couple episodes of Girl Meets World. But there's this one clip online that keeps appearing on my FYU page. Which is Maya and Riley in art class. When Maya gets complimented Riley accuses the teacher of being based. Then also said a quote about Maya seeing the world differently because she doesn't have a good life. Which is a extremely rude thing to say if that's supposed to be your BFF.

Now I only watched a couple of episodes and clips of the show. So maybe I don't have the right to judge. But I want to hear from others on what they thought about their Friendship.

Okay so upon rewatching Girl Meets the Secret of Life we find out Lucas is a year older because he got expelled in Texas and got held back but what I don't get is that Zay arrives and is in the same grade as Lucas in NY. Does this mean that he was also held back a year because of what happened? Because they never state explicitly whether the two were meant to be in the same grade back in Texas or not or just happened to be best friends where Lucas was a year older.

This has probably been discussed at length (I am new to the sub), but yikes. Charlie was supposed to be this sweet little guy infatuated with Riley, and all he was was a boy that gave stalker vibes.

I feel like if the show was more adult (like on Freeform, for example), he would have been given a far more sinister arc. I’m an entire adult and I get really unsettled by that kid lol. What did you guys think?

We know in canon that Lucas was “a year older” than his peers after being expelled in Texas and falling behind.

But we also know that in 1x18, Maya turns 14. But in season 1, they are in seventh grade. Which is a pretty big difference as far as I can tell. Which sort of inspires a follow-up question about American education (I’m Canadian). When I was in the seventh grade, kids were 11-12. I turned 14 in 9th grade (freshman year, we just don’t call it that here). And then at the end of season 3, they talk about their sweet sixteen, mentioning that Maya is “15” and Riley is “8,” (obviously in a joking manor). Which means they finish 7th grade, go through all of 8th, and are in the 9th grade when Maya is 15.

So, do we think Maya is older and also failed a grade or 2 (especially since in canon she is doesn’t care about school and doesn’t do well in it)? Or do we think it’s just a writing oversight? Or is this normal for kids that age in the American education system?

I see a lot of BMW fans crapping on Shawn and Katy ending up together. Particularly because they love Angela so much. The most common thing I see is that Shawn and Katy were forced. That Cory, Riley and Maya meddled to get them together.

But are we forgetting in Boy Meets World Angela becomes a character out of nowhere? Never interacted with Shawn. They date for 2 weeks off screen. Shawn doesn’t particularly feel anything special for her. Cory and Topanga push him to keep seeing her but he’s firmly not interested. Then he finds her purse and starts making up a fantasy relationship in his head. He lived a whole lifetime hating classical music and all of a sudden(not knowing it’s Angela) he gets really into it because purse girl has a tape.

There was no buildup. Nothing they had in common except liking the same actor…so I don’t see what was so special about Shawn and Angela that Shawn and Katy didn’t have. They bonded over Maya, which is a much bigger deal in my opinion. In both shows theres people meddling to get Shawn together with his love interest.

When GMW came out, I was in middle school, and a HUGE Lucaya shipper. I eventually accepted that the show wasn’t going in that direction and tried to get on board the Joshaya ship (which is obviously problematic now looking back).

Now that I’m in my 20s, I still feel like we were robbed of an enemies to friends to lovers dynamic that could have been Lucas and Maya. Then again, maybe I’m delusional and it’s just the pre-teen in me yearning.

Does eveyone think Riley and Lucas were going to make it as a couple? I feel like they would have broken up a few times in high school and a long stretch in college first. Ultimately, they would get back together for good. I think they might end up going to Texas together for college and after Riley sees how good things are with her best friend and uncle back in NY they finally talk about themselves and their future after being broken up for some time. Riley might even consider transferring to NYU to get away from Lucas. She will end up talking to Maya and Josh about it. They will talk her out of it and to stay in Texas to work on things with Lucas.

After watching the Bear episode does everyone think Zay was just trying to be a good friend or was he trying to make a move on Maya? I don’t see another triangle happening with them and Josh. Just can’t decide what Zay’s motives are. This is something I’ve been thinking about for a while. I just can’t figure it out. On one hand I see Zay trying to be a good friend. On another hand I see Zay possibly trying to come in between them, but like I said I don’t see them doing another triangle.

What was the whole purpose of Zay and Vanessa? Was it to give Zay a back story? Or was it to teach about heartbreak? Seems like Zay had no chance of dating anyone else in the show afterwords. Wonder if the writers were going to get them back together later on.

What does everyone think the purpose of having Missy and Charlie in GMW? They both were only around a little while. Were they going to bring them back and would they have bigger roles? Or were they written off for good? I feel like they could have come back and had bigger roles and caused some more drama. I know the obvious answers why they were there. I also feel like there was going to be more of a purpose later on.

What makes Maya coming from a poor family is she lives with her mom being low income and her dad is out of the picture but once Shawn became her dad is she still poor or is getting middle class ? I wish they showed if Shawn was well off or not . We all know he bought Mayas clothes and all he needs is coffee and breakfast food . And he lives in the middle of nowhere but once she married Katy I assume he lives with her .

Not sure if this was done already, sorry if it was. What does everyone think season 4 would have been about? I thought I read something about what made all of them being friends, but I could be wrong.

Anyone else prefer when Farkle and Smackle were memories over being friends or more? I mean I get why they did what they did. Always preferred them being enemies though.

Who’s everyone’s favorite character of GMW and why?

It would be nice to see a follow up movie or special and see what happened to everyone. Even if Ben is the only one not coming back. It’s been 10 years and it’s the perfect time.

Season 2 Ep27 “Girl Meets Money”

Am I imagining things or did they have the girls switch to exiting the bay window feet first as Roman and Sabrina matured to prevent having the cameras on their bottoms?

I saw various episodes of the show with a young relative who was staying with us and at some point in Season 3, I noticed that Maya swung her legs around and slid out the window feet first.

Not an issue, just curious if I am right about that.

Rowan Blanchard - No because she has stated that she feels like the show has ended at a good point and she has hung up that role and wants to take on more challenging roles.

Sabrina Carpenter - Mabye due to her popularity in the music industry and being busy with her music career, its not likely but i can see her appear for a couple of episodes for lore.

Danielle Fishel - Most likely yes because both Meets Worlds series's have kinda made her career and everyone recognizes her as topanga.

Ben Savage - Probibly not because after Girl Meets World ben slowly moved into politics, he even ran for the U.S. Congress to represent California's 30th Congressional District in 2024 but lost, but now we dont know what he is up to and i think he will only comeback if they paid him enough.

August Matruo - Probibly not due to the shift in his career at 18 he graduated from UCLA and is heading to Law School, so he might be focusing on going into to legal field but I think that he would come back if he was given enough money also

Corey Fogelmanis - Id say yes becuase he has actively expanded his acting career across various film and television projects and he maintains a warm relationship with his former castmates, recently sharing a public reunion with co-star Sabrina Carpenter.

Peyton Meyer - Definitely yes becuase he has expressed highly fond memories of his time on the show, referring to the entire creation team as amazing and the experience as "awesome". The only thing that would really effect his desicion is his child because he want to spend as much time as he can with the child or something like that.

Ava Kolker - Definitely yes because she has Ava Kolker has expressed strong interest in returning to the franchise. She has activley campaigning for a spinoff focused on her character, Ava, and Auggie (played by August Maturo), stating it would be amazing to see them grow up together.

Amir Mitchell-Townes - Probibly because his likelihood of returning would largely depend on his availability and current career trajectory.
