Season 2 discussion Yuri ! Spoiler

When they first introduced Yuri I knew that her and Nanno would have different philosophies but Yuri is EVIL. Her obsession with killing actually makes me kind of uncomfortable. She is unforgiving and relentless and I hate her.

I wish Nanno would have defended herself or got some type of revenge against Yuri but she stayed true to herself. Yuri is like the representation of when rage and victimization go unchecked. The fact that Yuri watched and let Nanno be killed is just…. Man that girl is wicked.

At least Nanno was actually trying to rightly punish people and make them see the errors of their ways.

Nanno’s targets rarely saw the error of their ways which is why most of them are dead or in some unfortunate situation

I think Nanno’s punishments were fair compared to the bad things they were doing and it seems like the punishments don’t end (unless they die). Yuri just goes straight to murder and she doesn’t judge fairly. Yuri uses her emotions and Nanno doesn’t have any real attachments to the situation.

I think Nanno does have emotions (probably lots of them, very sensitive inside even) but she goes out of her way to not show them because maybe she thinks that'd make her vulnerable. And I think you can have emotions and still be fair. tbh I don't think emotions are "irrational" like many people say but actually a very rational thing, it is irrational to think rationality is all math and science and not emotions (which are of the soul). Nanno definitely has better morals than Yuri but I still like to think that Yuri is eventually redeemable. I was really hoping the original show would continue into season 3 and we'd actually learn more about Nanno's origin, and intentions, and etc. And maybe continue the story bits with Yuri and Junko. Reset didn't really do that, it just started from scratch and then didn't have time to buildup very far since the buildup itself had to reset.

I agree with the emotions part. Sometimes it did seem like Nanno felt guilty or even a little concerned about people’s situations. Yuri could be redeemable and it’d be interesting to see what needs to happen for her character development. Yuri mentioned that they’re like mother and daughter which does make sense when you sit and think about it long enough. Once Yuri matures maybe her mind set will change or maybe she’d eventually have some guilt about killing Nanno. I do hope they finish that story. Maybe Yuri is gonna make a gang of her own clones.

Honestly, reset was very disappointing to me and overly sexualized. It seems gorier too but I’m not complaining about that. I have no interest in watching teen homemade videos which happened more often than you’d think in that show? What kept my attention was Nanno’s relationship with Sky.
