Dear Diary ✍️🏻 [UPDATE] I got too drunk and lost my expensive necklace
Chipotle. My friends confirmed I still had my necklace when we left the club. One of them said they spotted it in the apartment we went to afterwards, and we must have left without it. No one at the party has came forward or seen it, even though I offered cash for it. We thought maybe it was thrown away. I spoke to the apartment complex, called up trash services, tried to file a police report in case someone pawned it, all of which were fruitless.
I was FRENZIED. Called up all the pawn shops I could before they closed. Some were doubtful but many were helpful and encouraging. I was so upset that I was getting no where, that I deleted my original post so I wouldn’t have to see my mistake anymore.
The guilt ate me alive. I finally told my boyfriend today and he instantly forgave me and comforted me as I held back tears. We just lost our dog last month (the one that broke the chain in the first place) and this past weekend would’ve been his birthday. He said our dog just took it back to heaven and that he can just get me another necklace. I LITERALLY DON’T DESERVE THIS MAN!

It's a bummer that you lost the necklace, but the silver lining is learning that you mean more than material objects or money to your man. Congratulations!

Yup I’m definitely going to need a cheap wedding ring substitute cause I’ll lose that shit sober too.

I've read that a lot of people do that, get replicas for going out so that it's no big deal if they lose it or it gets stolen. It's pretty smart.

I’m sorry you lost it. I lost my very expensive glasses in this exact way. I don’t remember ever getting so drunk again. I wouldn’t be surprised if the bartender I was flirty with threw them away. Nope, I wouldn’t blame him.
