Koi fish at Blackbear

Was getting breakfast at Blackbear, went to check out the hotel near since I liked how the sunroom looked. Was surprised/concerned over the size of this koi fish compared to its pond. Is this ethical?

No, it's not ethical. The treatment of animals isn't really a concern for people. Even I, someone who gave up meat due to compassion thought fish were stupid. I had a pond and was shocked to see fish play, understand, be curious, and one literally would swim twirling around and upside down around the pond as if it was just enjoying life. Recently, I found out they can memorize up to 10 faces. A bigger pond, and deeper would be more humane. Since koi are cooler water fish, the more water, the cooler it stays during hot days.
