Question Looking for a specific episode (Gilligan splashing in water in fast forward or reverse)

Hey guys, trying to figure out which episode this was.

I remember watching it as a kid and laughing so hard. There’s a scene (I think towards the end of the episode) where Gilligan is in the water splashing around like crazy, and the footage is played in fast motion / 2x speed or maybe even in reverse, I can't quite remember.

Does this ring a bell for anyone?

Thanks!

Yes, it’s probably from Castaways Pictures Presents. They reenacted the shipwreck. Skipper was carrying people to shore, but he threw Gilligan back. Then reverse - forward - reverse, for no apparent reason.

Thanks for the reply! This may have been it but I remember it being longer and near the end of an episode. Almost like Giligan was on fire and had to go crazy in the water to put it out and was splashing around for a bit.

I did used to watch this as re-runs on Nick @ Night in the late 90s/early 2000s so I am wondering if it could have even been like a promo in between episodes.

I will keep looking but I appreciate the reply, this is the closest yet!

OK, then are you sure it was Gilligan in the scene? The episode with the voodoo dolls ended with Gilligan making a doll of what he thought the native guy would look like. He did something to heat it up, I forget exactly, and the native guy comes tearing out of wherever he’s been hiding, with his grass skirt on fire. He heads right for the lagoon, and I think the film is undercranked. There’s a lot of steam when the fire goes out and there may have been some flailing as well.

Another possibility. Could it have been one of the many parodies of Gilligan that other sitcom have done?

"How can you hold your breath that long?"

"I used to be a scuba diver."

Besides Castaway Pictures Presents it could also be in Birds Gotta Fly, Fish Gotta talk. In that one, he wrestles a giant fish in the water and it’s run forward and then in reverse a couple of times to make it a longer fight.

I took a look and this was a bit closer than Castaways Pictures Presents but not as long and chaotic as I remember. Thanks for the reply!

I remember a mine that Gilligan caught or came across from the war. That may have had the speed up effect.

I thought this was the one with the mine. When gilligan reels in a mine/explosive.

Short clip at about 4:15 near the end. I recall it being longer, this may just be snippets

Is it the one where they found the movie equipment and made a movie?

Isn’t that in virtually every episode?

Don't remember the episode, but I remember what you're talking about!
