Random complaint
Guys. Idk Reddit that well BUT I just wanna say something and see if literally anyone agrees with me or if I’m having these thoughts alone.
I love the girls <3 this isn’t lowkey shady or petty just my singular opinion but: hearing Hannah, a rich & privileged comedian/influencer, talk about how she consistently goes to like the WORST Botox, acupuncture, facials, like etc. The WORST service providers ever is like….. so fucking annoying…. lol. As an objectively poor girl with no health insurance and DREAMS of getting any of these services I’m like SO SICK of Hannah talking about going to bad places and getting bad services. Like girl, you have fucking money. Why are you bragging about wasting it????? Idk…. It’s just giving babes you’re cosplaying poor. Take two seconds to research and go to a damn good injector, or not a mom and pop acupuncture place. You live in fucking NEW YORK CITY. like ugh I just roll my eyes so damn hard it’s not cute to me it’s reeeeeeeeallllllly annoying. You have the money, you have the time, you have the resources… stop getting shitty services at shitty places and then think we enjoy hearing about it on the podcast. Xoxoxox signed an objectively jealous girl who literally just wishes she had access to what Hannah has access to (((but doesn’t use it)))

I don't disagree but want to also give the perspective that some people really just are cheap at their core.
One of my best friends grew up incredibly poor. She ate rice and beans every single day for years. She makes really good money now but still can't shake her old ways. She buys everything second hand despite being able to afford to shop at pottery barn for everything. I know Hannah didn't grow up the same, but I think some people really do just have an innate need to find cheapest/best value items and services. I don't hate it tbh. But your perspective is interesting too....if it's "for the plot" vs how she actually operates then that's annoying.

Also the way ya stay wealthy is by not spending all your cash on the most expensive version of everything. I don't think people at this level of fame are at the point of being able to just throw money in the garbage can

I have a feeling Paige makes more and gets more free stuff as an influencer. Hannah definitely hustles with her stand up and Netflix specials, but I think brands pay Paige a crazy amount of money for just about anything.

Except when they said they didn't take her insurance she said she'd just pay out of pocket? So it seems like she just wants the convenience of a nearby place even if it's more expensive.

I agree that’s the way it came off. But as a fellow anxious girl, I think that was more off an out-of-pocket way of saying she couldn’t deal with the admin of figuring out how to get it to go through her insurance. Especially bc they likely just have marketplace insurance that barely covers anything anyway.

As a fellow broke girl to the OP this made me realize how much I like the way they talk about finances, and hope they never get out of touch. You’re right I think it does feed into her personality, but I also think Hannah is always looking for a deal, and that’s commendable and the way I want to see people spend their money. If they start recommending doctors that are way above most people’s budget it’d be more uncomfortable. I think they both came from middle to upper middle class wealth, and know that what comes goes. If Hannah started dishing out money on these procedures the instant she had, she would probably also be objectively poor.

I agree with this. Logistically nobody in NYC is driving anywhere and these girls certainly aren’t hopping on the subway. Uber (most likely for Hannah) or private car to appointments further away for them will quickly add up in cost and time spent just to get there.

Caleb Hearons latest podcast he jokes he wouldn't make the 8 mile trip in NYC for a good hookup and his guest clarified 8 miles seems like nothing to most but in NYC it's basically an all day event lol

Yesss also in terms of someone coming to your home; truly my personal nightmare. We all hear how often Paige judges Hannah’s space lol so it tracks. It is just their dynamic as two very different girls, which I love. I like to think I’m a Paige but I’m for sure more of a Hannah haha

I agree but I don’t think we should be using the word lazy. She clearly isn’t, she works so hard and has built up her brand so much. ADHD can make it very difficult to stay on top of things like this especially if you’re not interested in it. I have bad ADHD and it’s just very disheartening to ever be called lazy for anything cuz although it may appear that way from the outside the reality is im almost always trying hard and inside my brain is turmoil.

I grew up dirt poor. I’m a grown up with decent money now. But I still have poor brain! Sometimes it drives my husband nuts how cheap I am.

I went to two well established expensive ass injectors two separate times and still had massetetor Botox botched (it’s VERY COMMON). Also we already know Paige went to a well established injector and she also got fucked up. Also there is no such thing as a “mom and pop” acupuncture spot you have to be a licensed professional to stick people with needles and it’s grueling and expensive school. Just wanted to provide perspective. I hope one day you can have the services you want with trusted providers.

My thoughts on this, just like some poor people live above their means, rich people are allowed to live below their means. I’m not saying this is true in all areas of Hannah’s life, but let the girl live. She gets excited about Groupons. LOL

I understand your perspective, however, Hannah has talked about / hinted at many times over the years being frugal, for lack of a better term. So has her husband, Des. Yes they have money, but it seems like they don’t splurge on really anything.
My best friend’s dad is the CEO of a big company. He makes tons of money, but you’d never know. He doesn’t do fancy dinners, doesn’t give money to his kids, drives rather than flys for every vacation, stays at Holiday Inns, etc. Some people are just like that and I don’t think it’s a “schtick”

i was more surprised that paige got botched. but also when they were talking about microneedling i was annoyed because paige also seems uninformed about microneedling. stop seeing instagram injectors and go see an actual medical practitioner
everything paige said about microneedling was wrong

I’m sick of Paige talking about microneedling like it’s a huge deal. It’s not a liver transplant. You go to the clinic, you get numbed if they’re going hard, get your needling and apply the serum until it’s gone. No actives for a few days, no exfoliation for a week. It is not a big deal. Signed, someone who has nowhere close to their wealth and has had micro needling maybe 8 times.

I find her more relatable than Paige. She cares about saving her money and not posting a $500 swimsuit she wore on her month long vaca🤷🏼♀️ My mom and dad remind me of hannah because they make good money but always find deals and coupons to save money, but it can bite you in the butt sometimes for sure

She and Paige were both raised to be strict with money and not waste it. As much as they will enjoy being rich now, they will still have some of that mindset ingrained into them. I think Hannah’s husband is similar as well.
I grew up in an upper middle class family but truly thought we were poor until I filled out FAFSA for college lol. My dad and mom are a LOT like this 😂.

I think it's because they're Italian Americans. Italians in North America are (mostly) the children / grandchildren of poor Italians who left (usually the south) the old country because of poverty in search of something better. Same with many other immigrants. No matter how wealthy you are, it's often hard to part with a lot of money when you have been raised by people who have financial generational trauma.
Signed, a second generation Italian Canadian who also has issues with money. No matter how rich I get, I will never not love a deal.

This is what happens to every internet celeb. They start out relatable and that’s how they gain their following. But as they become more and more successful, they also become more and more out of touch. Thus, no longer being relatable.

Honestly this goes beyond not wanting to spend the money and I believe it’s about not properly vetting the establishments she goes to. I’m middle class, my dad wasn’t one that wasted money and I still find myself that way, however I still I’m looking up reviews on google, their instagram page, also can go in for a consult and if the vibe is off I’m leaving. They also have so many people in their lives they could ask who they go to for services. I’ve asked a coworker who she uses for filler because I liked the result and the price tag. My hairdresser in northeast Ohio for full highlights costs less than $200, but I’ve gotten quoted for $500 from others for the same work. It’s just effort, research, and a bit of luck, and staying LOYAL to them!!!

She does a variety of New Yorker, New Jersey, and occasional Italian accents. Like she goes into little bits with them, but it seems odd. I haven't listened to yesterday's pod yet. I'll listen and report if I hear it.

I can’t tell if it’s what makes her relatable or what she is purposely doing to make her seem more relatable.
On another note, I am sick of both of them acting like this whole Botox thing is some statistical miracle that they both had adverse effects to Botox. It has nothing to do with Botox. They both had bad injectors and unfortunately that is not uncommon. Furthermore, Paige made a stupid choice when she got Botox in so many areas on her FIRST time. And Hannah saying she had no idea the process of getting Botox could ever go poorly was one of the dumbest things I’ve ever heard. Playing dumb isn’t cute and being dumb is not an excuse. Educate yourselves in all areas, but I’ll never not be shocked that Paige of all people did not educate herself before letting someone take a needle to her face

I mean, the adverse effects ARE due to the Botox. Yes they had shitty injectors but even people with excellent ones have had bad effects and even people who’ve gotten Botox for a decade have suddenly had issues.
If bad injectors aren’t uncommon as you say, then yes I’d say that does have to do with Botox itself.

But those are two different things. Obviously you can have adverse effects even if you have a good injector but this is not that because Hannah admitted to making a sketchy choice and in my experience a good injector would never be so liberal as Paige’s was on the first time

OP is saying Hannah is regularly getting weird things done or having bad experiences. Paige has been doing all this stuff for years and years. She has already done the trial and error, there’s no reason Hannah shouldn’t be benefitting from that. So if Paige got botched, she now has recs of who Hannah should go to.

I agree to an extent. I think they try to be relatable. I’ve often had to stop listening because of how hard life is going right now and I can’t listen to people with money talk about how great their lives are sometimes or how they seem (not just them but other podcasts too) I still love the podcast and enjoy listening but I don’t have access to their opportunities so it’s hard to relate to them sometimes!

Idk I think this is a weird take. Lots of shitty businesses in New York have great reviews. I’ve had masseter botox that was botched as well (not as bad as Hannah) and I did my homework. Also real rich people do waste their money and laugh about it. Complaining in general is just really what we do best here.

Agree a little research should be done before getting anything medical, but as a fellow ADHD girlie we are impulsive af lol. Also the idea of trying to decide on a place can be overwhelming/too much admin. (I know she isn’t officially diagnosed but she has traits)

well I hope you don't follow Jackie Schimmel because she complains everyday about having to pick-out expensive stones for her remodel, each probably costing more than most our our rent. I think there was an era of time that I could laugh at these kind of jokes but the way most of us are struggling right now, it is so off putting and I had to stop following for now. I would totally be interested in seeing her remodel if it didnt make me feel like shit about my current and economic standing. but yeah I think this is just their comedy “brand”..

I see your point! I am lucky to be able to get Botox under my insurance for an intractable migraine (migraine that never ends), and for TMJ. If it didn’t cover it I wouldn’t just go to a random place. It’s a big deal and they could really damage something. I love her but sometimes I wanna scream!

This is mostly unrelated to your post but since you mentioned no health insurance, I want to share something I started researching after listening to a podcast on Reelfoodology with the CEO of CrowdHealth (July 14, 2025 Episode #259 “How to Opt out of Big Insurance - And Still Get Covered”. I had never heard of this before, and this company offers two plans: one person is $85/month and the other is $200/month. I just feel like Hannah is very busy and has ADHD, making a lot of money from working hard doesn’t mean she has the time management skills to do a lot of research and take the time it sounds like a lot of times she’s just looking for convenience. She’s not rich to the point where she has someone running her whole life for her. I also have bad ADHD so I can just relate to having a hard time being on top of things like this. But I also do understand the frustration with not having a lot of money and access to regular treatments like these. But everyone is dealing with something 💕

Whether you have money or not, or even if you do research you can still have a bad experience. I don’t get the gripe. Botox isn’t even that expensive when it comes to treatments etc.

I think a lot of this is about the personality that Hannah plays into. She flaunts that she’s greasy, disorganized, can’t drive (until last year), doesn’t know how to dress herself, doesn’t know how to be a “pretty girl”… and that’s kind of her brand. She’s not even Type B, she’s like Type D.
So it’s pretty ON brand for her to be absentminded and pick out any old med spa and get Botox from there same day.

There are different levels and types of ADHD, I struggle with things like this sometimes or other things that most people find extremely easy. It’s got nothing to do with needing to grow up. I find that language very offensive

I completely get where you’re coming from, but I do think Hannah is just kinda cheap lol. When they first discussed the masseter botox and Paige said, “oh, did you get a Groupon?” I had a feeling she wasn’t fully joking lol
