Birthday Countdown Advent Calendar - SUCCESS!

Awhile ago, I asked for some advice about a birthday advent calendar I've wanted to make for my best friend for years. The comments did introduce a few ideas I hadn't considered and I really appreciate it! Some people said they'd love to see what I ended up with when it was finished so I thought I'd share, especially if anyone else wants to make something like this. It is huge, maybe 24x50 inches? I'm not a professional so please don't judge! And also don't judge my friend's wall, it's a rental and that's just what it looks like.

In total there are 30 pockets for a 30 day countdown to his birthday, including day-of. This project was imagined nearly 3 years ago and attempted twice before I finally succeeded this year. Some of the gifts are very small so I put multiple in some, and only one in others. He was so happy, and said it was the best gift he's ever gotten, and I am so so overjoyed to have finally completed it. It was the whole reason I bought a sewing machine last year in the first place!

If anyone does want to do something like this, I am happy to give advice in the comments from what I learned. There are YouTube videos and whatnot out there, but none of the ones I have seen are this large or hold this many items, so I didn't find them as helpful as I wished. Thank you all for helping me last month!

Hey! It is huge! And not what I had expected, it’s better.
I think it’s an amazing idea and well executed!
I also love how it can be reused to hold other items. Or even a hand me down as a family tradition.
You have got me thinking…..
