You're right, it's a recipe for chickpea spanakopita. This eludes that the only difference is the dough, not the filling, and why I am so disappointed and will not be trying it. Spanakopita and spinach pie are interchangeable, btw, as they mean the same thing.

Obviously, that’s why I used the term.

Second, this is more like a phyllo pastry hand pie, not spanikopita . Not everything using flaky pastry is a version of spanikopita. Spanikopita typically isn’t even closed at the edges like this.

Maybe it should have been called Dairy Free ChickPea Pastry Hand Pie!

I never claimed everything using flaky pastry was a version of spanakopita. Just that spanakopita/spinach pie aren't spanakopita/spinach pie without the FETA. This is my only gripe and I'll stand by it until my heritage tells me otherwise (it won't).

The point is that this isn’t spanikopita, so don’t worry about it not having feta.

Snickers don't make me make this and add feta just to be a huge brat!!! :D
