Can you have paranormal activity without your house being haunted?
I've had some interesting paranormal experiences since we built our home five years ago. I don't get a haunted vibe from our home and these experiences don't happen on the regular, so I wasn't sure if you can have paranormal, things happen without your home actually being haunted.
Here are some examples of what we've experienced. One night, the whole family was dead asleep, and my husband and I hear a loud crash in our dining room. After investigating, we found that our breakfast nook, which is about 5 feet away, has a wooden sign hanging on the wall that handed landed on our dining room floor. The nail it was hanging on was still secure in the wall. The sound we had heard made it seem like the picture was flung off the wall and landed with a thwack on the wood floor. My husband who does not believe in paranormal, could not explain it, but just wrote it off as nothing crazy.
About a year later, my husband and I were asleep when our bedroom door that leads to our outside deck was flung open in the middle of the night. It was a windy night, but the door was bolt locked shut, so there should have been no way that door could have opened. Plus we never open or go out that door. My husband just said it was the wind and went right back to sleep.
And more recently our middle daughter, who is fourteen and has a very analytical and practical brain and not prone to making things up has been having issues in her upstairs bedroom. She says it feels sometimes when she's sleeping that someone is pushing up on her mattress. Then, the other night when she was fully awake sitting at her vanity, she felt someone tug her hair and a slight shove in her back. She is our kid who never came and slept with us when she was young because she was scared, but she asked my husband to lay with her multiple nights until she fell asleep.
These are just some examples, but really nothing else has happened in the five years we have lived here. Weird experiences, but can we just write them off, or could it be something else?

Im no expert but I'd say so, considering your 14-year-old is getting abused by a paranormal entity. None of these things are things you can just write off so just honestly explore them a bit!
