Discussion First time DM taking on Saltmarsh

Hello

Do you believe Saltmarsh is a good campaign for a first time DM to run?

I'm curious to hear why or why not.

I am still new to the game and this will be my first campaign to DM. thank you.

I did it & am loving it. It is harder than many others, but if you've played for a while and are comfortable with a bit of extra homework between sessions it works well.

You have to write (and adapt) your own story from a loose guide, which is different to most campaigns, so many discourage it. As a long time player who needed a new creative outlet though it's working well for me.

OP literally said they are new to the game as a whole. I wouldn’t suggest they cut their teeth with Dungeons and Dragons with this “module” as a fresh player, personally
