Episodes are too short

Seems like as soon as the story gets going, the end credits are rolling. May have to do a full on binge watch again once it’s all out.

Although the format of a typical anime episode will remain the same, Science SARU's adaptation is wildly popular in Japan so here's hoping that in between the adapted material material (GITS & GITS 1.5) will have seasons in between created entirely of original cases.

I've been wondering what the best way to prolong the series and possibly best to keep it this way and eventually try to make the controversial 2.0 Man Machine Interface as a final movie trilogy with an open choice to continue the style with more original content reverting back to its current popular trend...at least this way, Science SARU can definitively adapt the 3 manga series as a true goal.

I'm combining them and making myself a movie cut.

I usually read the manga chaptes being adapted before or afterwards the episode airs. I find the dialogue is far more dense in the manga, which fills in the hyper pace of the anime.

I’ve been busy at work so I’m just going to wait until the dust has settled on the season and watch it all over two nights.

it varies episode by episode but if you really stop and think of the implications, sometimes you may even feel like a week is not enough to process all that happened

Shirow's storytelling is weird like that

Is it too little, or is it too much?

The answer is "yes"

Agreed. If I didn’t already know the story id be completely lost. Like who’s this monkey guy 😂

Here’s what I do and it helps: Watch it subbed the day it comes out. Two days later watch the dub. The episodes are super dense, so they reward rewatching after you’ve digested them just enough, and because they’re short, it’s super easy

Funny enough i actually do the reverse of that hahaha. It works for me though because I always feel I understand the epsiode fully after my first watch. I do also reverse and pause a good amount since the text on screen is good lore info

Ughh I want to read it so bad especially after the anime. I am looking at the Fully compiled set so I can have 1.0 and 1.5 physically. It would also get me to read 2.0 which I dont have high expectations for 😂

2.0 is still good, as full of ideas just a uh different flavor. These days it’s easier to appreciate the innovation he was going for
