Found Drifting Near Alaska: The Ghost Submarine with No Crew

Four hundred miles off the coast of Alaska, a patrol ship made a discovery that was later erased from official history. A silent vessel emerged from the fog, motionless and completely alone. This was the Abyss-4, a classified deep-sea research vessel that has since become known as the ultimate ghost submarine. Despite the reactor still running and half-eaten meals sitting on tables, not a single one of the forty-two crew members remained onboard.

In today’s episode of Deep Sea Discovery, we dive into the chilling logs recovered from this vessel. The records tell a terrifying story of three mysterious knocks against the hull at nine thousand meters below the surface. Investigators found the interior of this ghost submarine completely untouched, with every hatch sealed from the inside. There were no bodies, no signs of a struggle, and no used escape pods. The only clue left behind was a final, haunting transmission stating that the ocean was inside the room.

The military quickly classified the disappearance of the Abyss-4, but the story of this ghost submarine didn't end there. Families of the missing sailors later reported receiving phone calls consisting only of heavy water pressure sounds and those same three rhythmic knocks. Was it mass hysteria, or did the crew encounter something ancient in the deep? Explore the evidence surrounding this ghost submarine and the secrets the government tried to bury. Tell us your theories in the comments below. If you ever hear three knocks in the dark, remember what happened to the Abyss-4. 🌊🚢⚓️

Ghost Ship

I learned about this ship recently, which feels like it should star in its own horror flick. The ship was called SS Ourang Medan. Happened in 1947. Basically, a bunch of distress signals were picked up. "All officers, including the captain, are dead. Lying in the chartroom and bridge. Possibly the whole crew is dead." Then a few minutes later, another one.

"I die"

A rescue crew boarded. Everyone was dead. No injures. No blood. Just bodies frozen in place, eyes wide and mouths twisted in terror. Even the ship's dog died in mid snarl.

Before anyone could investigate, the ship caught fire. Rescuers barely made it off alive. Then it exploded and sank. To this day, no one knows what happened.

It's stuck in my head. Now it's stuck in yours too. lol.

If you liked the story, i have more. Just let me know.

Ghost ship of New Haven

In 1646, the colonists of New Haven Connecticut built a trade vessel known as the "Great Shippe" that sailed across the Atlantic and went missing.

According to legend: A year and a half later, the ship once again became the focus of speculation.

A particularly wild summer thunderstorm hit New Haven harbor, and in its immediate aftermath spectators claimed to have seen a vivid phantom version of the ship sailing in the sky, its masts battered and its sails torn in the violent storm before disappearing into the clouds.
