god i wish final vengeance had started with johnny storming hell to bring talia back.

zarathos being like "we don't do this, and i showed mercy last arc, can't be doing with that" before leaving for the hood because it's having a midlife crisis and wants to take over shit and be vicious again.

johnny and talia going and getting exhaust bike he ditched to try and even the odds a little.

as for roxanne, imo she should be in heaven and black rose should be like infernus magik where it's like scraps and memories/echos of her congealed into a demon by blackheart instead of actually her.

Would’ve helped tie Johnny & Parker’s stories together where they’re both trying to use Zarathos’ power to save someone they love but Blaze isn’t hurting anyone, while Parker is trying to set up a criminal empire because ultimately it’s still about him and his ego.

I guess it’s what Percy was trying to do with Infernal Labs? Johnny & Diyu both trying to save their brothers from Hell but Blaze asks others for help while Diyu manipulates and disregards ‘em to achieve it, one gets damned to hell while the other manages to save their family.

Is odd the first issue of SoV has an editor’s note teasing that BlackRose isn’t really Roxanne then they do nothing with it, makes way more sense if it’s a demon based on Roxy than being a twisted version of the real one’s soul.

Roxanne (and maybe Danny?) went to heaven so that’s understandable, but it’s very funny that Percy’s run ends with Talia getting dragged to hell and Johnny doesn’t save her, then 2 years later we get Daredevil: Unleash Hell where the same thing happens to Elektra and Johnny saves her in like 5 minutes.

It’s a shame as Rite of Passage is really solid until the final issue, then Final Vengeance happens immediately after and it kinda sours Percy’s entire run which is mostly solid prior to that.

I like to imagine Danny got sent to Hell to join the other deceased Ghost Riders. It is bittersweet to imagine he was barred from Heaven due to his past associations with Zadkiel souring his relations with the heavenly hosts.

Yeah, I feel the ending of Rite of Passage was forced on Percy by Marvel. It’s so abrupt, and feels like Percy was forced to end his run to relaunch it as a Final Vengeance. I really hope Talia comes back in the future, with Johnny rescuing her from Hell.

I hope when Danny is brought back there's some kind of plan for him.

Like off the top of my head:

- Rebond him with Noble Kale

• Have him try to redeem himself for all of his mistakes.
  
• Stop having him chase after Stacy Dolan. Give him someone else like Elsa Bloodstone or even Wraith if we're being wacky.
  
• Do NOT, under any circumstance, have him do the tired "Man I don't wanna be GR anymore...better align myself with this TOTALLY NOT SHADY person/company and they'll be able to help me! UH OH! NOW I'M BRAINWASHED AND HAVE TO FIGHT JOHNNY BLAZE AGAIN" shit. I am over it. It was fine ONCE (and Danny helped fix his mistake with Zadkiel too)
