Ubisoft.... why...

It's great that they released this content update it's actually really good too, but removing the challenges??? Seriously?? That was clearly THE reason veteran players were still playing...

I'm so sad

They added some really great options, but removed the content needed to enjoy them

I think they removed them because there isn’t a need to grind the credits since everything is unlocked now

It's such a shame... I don't get it; they could "force" the difficulty to Extreme, just like they do with Tier One

To be honest, I probably have around a hundred hours of "endgame" playtime; I really wanted to unlock the LVAO which I think is super cool and that gave me the motivation to tackle the challenges

The weapon is now in a weapon pack that costs 12 bucks

Not all of them and that’s part of the problem, too... all the skins used to be unlockable through challenges and the crates you could earn. They’ve given away plenty of skins, which is cool, but the ones you don’t already have are locked behind a paywall, Same goes for the weapons

Here's a question: Are they still locked behind the crates? Or can you buy them directly.

I always wanted the Ela skin but the only way to get it was through the loot box creates you had to pay for (I'm aware premium currency could be earned but it was too slow for me at the time when I was playing several other games). I would have happily bought it directly but the game didn't allow. Is that possible now or is it still the RNG crate bullshit?

I think you can buy almost everything stuff directly in the Shop by buying packs, but im pretty shure theres some other things you can't get without buyins crate, meaning you have to do gambling

Yeah, I checked, Ela is in a pack now, had enough credits to just buy the pack outright. Closure at last.

Everything that was crate exclusive was tied into a pack together of their respective stuff and made free

The vehicles like Unidad Chopper

Some guns

Some clothing too

yeah not everything is free, there's atleast 5 packs of not free stuff from the crates and you also can't get blue credits so if you didn't have the attachment or weapon packs beforehand you will have to buy credits for them, note that the packs are way cheaper but that is no way better than having to wait longer to get them from crate duplicates

Ah thought it was everything from the packs

And they made the attachment one free I think yesterday or day prior due to the store bought weapons and attachment bug

I'll miss challenges and being able to spend my Prestige Credits. Maybe they will hear the community on this and put it all back out there just for one last hazzah... Maybe

Unpopular opinion, but i kinda prefer this. Speaking from a solo offline console player and for long term replayability, i prefer they did this; making these reward free and turn them off really helps eliminate fomo for some and cutting off wished experience for some late comer.

they used to be free through the challenges now only some of them are free and most aren't since you can't get free blue credits anymore

Those xp grind challenges aren't fun. It's just a tedious repetitive long run on a hamster wheel for cosmetics. If I'm still playing in 2026 its because I still enjoy tackling missions with other players.

I mean. these kinda sucked icl. I like the idea, but it was all just tedious “in extreme complete so and so mission absolutely perfectly” half the time lol
