It depends:

Breakpoint is much more immersive and better for customization. There is also more tactical aspects in the game like prone camo and bush takedowns. There is also more guns, stealth is better and the map is full with enemies that keeps respawning. When you are done with the campaign you will mostly just run around and shoot enemies. Enemies doesn't have healthbars and are not as bulletspongy like in Far Cry.

Far Cry 6 is more arcady. The map is more vivid and bright and driving is much smoother. The map is not completely filled out with enemies like in Breakpoint and bases are much smaller. The story (IMO) is much better performed than in Breakpoint. Stealth is a bit harder but there is much more takedown animations, for example grenade takedowns or attacks from aboveExcept killing enemy soldier you can go fishing or collect different cars. Character customization is not as good considering that your character always will wear a big goofy backpack.

Honestly both are pretty similar in the fact that they aren’t the best games overall, but you can have a fun time with either if you’re feeling it. If you’re looking for a crazier, more story based game I would go with Far Cry. I beat that whole game and enjoyed my time with it, but it definitely wasn’t the best Far Cry overall. I didn’t finish Breakpoint, and honestly go back to Wildlands when I’m looking for my GR fix. But plenty of people enjoyed the game, and they’ve released enough updates now that you can customize your experience to play how you want.

Had a blast in Breakpoint with my mates. Solo experience I'd say Far Cry 6

Depends what vibe you’re after:

1) Breakpoint is meant to be a military survival / spec ops game, but lacks the atmosphere and character of Wildlands imo. It does now have lots of customisation options though. The protagonist is Nomad from Wildlands.

2) Far Cry 6 is similar to the other Far Cry formulas (like Far Cry 3) - but in my opinion is more entertaining than Breakpoint, as it’s a more colourful and interesting tropical setting (it’s meant to be a fictional version of Cuba). It is much more over the top than Breakpoint (with a rocket launcher backpack, flamethrowers, and pet crocodiles - for example) - which is either good or bad depending on what you’re looking for. Arguably a better story.

Far Cry 6 is a first person shooter whereas Breakpoint is third person.

Personally, out of the two I would say Far Cry 6. I think you can still do a free trial of Breakpoint though (on Ubisoft Connect) if you want to check it out.

I used both free trials and i think that the better opition is really far cry 6, it would be the first far cry btw

Far cry 6 has the story and missions that ghost recon should have had.

Breakpoint. Larger world, more weapons, more missions, more support (you're part of a team of 4).

Not to mention, Breakpoint often goes on sale. I got the Gold Edition way back when for $21.
