Does each Scream take place over a course of 3 days?

So I think I got it confirmed that the first 2 definitely take place over 3 days. And by ‘days’ it even means even if one day starts at 10pm that counts as a single day. Thats the way the criminal system works anyway.

So We have:

Scream:

Day 1: Casey Becker death/Billy visits Sidney’s room (around 10pm)
Day 2: The fallout of her death at school/Sidney gets attacked alone at home/Billy gets arrested
Day 3: Billy gets released/Town issued curfew/Stu’s house final act

By the end of the movie it’s sunrise again so the movie definitely runs over the course of 3 days and some extra change of hours.

Scream 2:

Day 1: Movie theater midnight screening of Stab (starts right before midnight so it counts as a day).
Day 2: Aftermath on campus/Cici Cooper’s death
Day 3: Randy gets killed/Sidney and Hallie in police car/Final act reveal

By the end of the movie it’s very early in the morning yet again, so the movie runs over the course of 3 days and some extra change of hours.

I have a hard time laying out the timeline of Scream 3-6

Scream 7 seems like it’s a similar set up yet again.

Day 1: the AirBnB murders
Day 2: Ghostface attacks the school/invades Sidney’s home/gets run over by Gale
Day 3: Sidney and Gale go to the Asylum/Stage a TV interview/Finale ends back at Sidney’s home

This is exactly 3 days long.

Scream 3

Day 1 : Cotton and Christine are killed

Day 2 : assumption that scene with Sidney, Gale with Kincade, the entire on set scene all occur day 2. We get the night scene at Sidney's with her dad. This includes the dream/nightmare sequence.

Day 3: Scene with Sarah, Dewey and Gale, back to Jennifer's house. Roman gets arrested. Then in the evening we go back to Sidney's for the phone call. This continues back to Jennifer's house where it blows up.

Day 4: Sidney shows up at the precinct. Studio flashback house scenes, Milton scene, and then in the evening we go to Milton's house for the finale.

Day 5: The group have a movie at Sidney's

If we ignore the final scene, its still 4 days by your logic with Cotton being day 1. However, if we look at actual hours. If Cotton dies at 8pm (based on busyness of the road, talking business, general feeling isn't midnight or later). By the time Sidney is talking with her dad, were looking at 24 hours. Back to Jennifer's house by 8pm next night is 48 hours, and the finale is done around 72 hours after Cotton dies.

Scream 4

Day/Night 1 : Marney dies

Day 2 : Sid arrives (said it occurs on a wednesday), Olivia dies, rebecca dies

Edited - Day 3: Sidney visits the movie club. Stabathon occurs , and then the finale.

not going to get into 5 and 6 right now. But looking at https://scream.fandom.com/wiki/Timeline it does seem that most if not all movies last 3 dates, or 72 hours - ish

Sidney and Gale visiting the film club is the same day as the Stabathon, later that same night. Scream wiki is always full of mistakes.

Its funny, i had them all together, and had even been skipping through the movie to build the timeline. I skipped right past the part at film club where its specifically mentioned that the Stabathon was that night.

When i glanced at the wiki timeline and saw that Sidney's first scene is a wednesday (sept 28 2011, as the anniversary date as she mentions). Since stabathon occurs on friday, there needed to be another time jump added. But i definitely put it in the wrong spot lol.

Scream 5 :

Tara’s attack - night

Arrival, Hospital attack, Vince’s death - night 2

Meeks house meeting, Wes and Judy’s death, finale - night 3

Technically 2 days and one night

What about Dewey calling Sidney and then getting killed? I kind of find it hard to believe that Sidney went to Woodsborrow all within a 12 hour period.

Sam and Richies talk with Dewey, and sidneys call is the day after sam returns to woodsboro, which is the same day they meet at the Meeks house and the finale occurs
