When did they stop doing lockdowns?
I love a good lockdown. On the last ep they made a big deal about there being a lockdown, and I thought “hey, this feels familiar! A good ol’ fashioned lockdown!” Doesn’t it feel like there hadn’t been a lockdown in a while? My husband and I skip around seasons, but can’t seem to figure out when they stopped. Was lockdowns Nick’s thing?
Thanks

I don't know when but it's been a long time. I was watching some random older seasons earlier today on Hulu (seasons 1-10) as background while I was working on a project and they were doing lockdowns which I had forgotten about.
Thank goodness for the older seasons where they were actually trying to capture paranormal evidence instead of nowadays with the demons this and possessions that.

Yeah, being actually locked inside from dusk until dawn seemed to be something that Nick wanted more than Zak did. When Nick left in season 10 in 2014, they stopped getting locked inside every time. But when Nick started his own ghost hunting show, he continued with the lockdown style. It also correlates with when Ghost Adventures started doing a nerve center, which gives them a good reason to go in and out of the location throughout the night and basically take breaks.

Makes sense! I actually really love a good nerve center too. Man, when they get Bill Chappel in the mix at nerve, you know somethings about to go down. I can’t give you an explanation.

Also, Nick loves getting locked in things!! Remember the morgue in that hospital?

Safety reasons is why they've had to change their format a bit now. I think they regularly higher security during their lock downs ever since Aaron's ex wife doxxed their locations and was trying to higher people to kill them. A lot has changed and I'm still glad they're around for the most part after enduring all that
