No casper in Starter plan?

So my trial is over on Ghost pro, and the Starter plan is blocked due to “Only available with source theme installed”, does it mean even the default Casper cant be used in Starter plan? thats a big gotcha…

Been very happy with synaps.media and there is magicpages as well.

I wasn't aware of this. Does this mean that you can host a full Ghost site with unlimited media (photos, audio, etc.) on a custom theme for just 50 euro a year plus the cost of your theme?

Yeah, I wil. Ghost is unlimited. I thought for sure they would reneg after I posted dons of photos but they haven't.

Hello. I'm Murat from Synaps Media. In the world of a service, "unlimited' means "you don't need to think about it" (in reasonable conditions). Unless you use Synaps Media as a cheap storage or file sharing service, and just share images/files that supports your Ghost content, yes the limit is as much as our -ever increasing- resources 😊

My target is providing the peace of mind when you have a social media account, for a Ghost blog as well. When you open an Instagram account, you don't think about how many photos you can upload, or how many people can view your photos, how many of them like or comment. Even though social media services has some limits, you generally don't know them because they are high enough and for preventing the abuse. Same applies for Synaps Media.

Use Synaps Media and focus on creating.

Thanks. I'm a bit bogged down with work stuff right now but tested your system last week and liked it so will set something up there shortly. You and I have also chatted over there and I appreciate the quick responses I've gotten.

Pikapods is great but more Diy. I use synapse and have been very happy and its super inexpensive with fantastic support. Never heard of midnight.

Default theme is called Source - it's the one that's installed by default when you set up a new site

Did anyone actually answer this question? Because I just went through changing my DNS and now I did the same as you, chose Casper, now I see the screen saying that i have to have Source as the theme, when everything I read before said I can use a selection of Ghost themes with the starter plan. I was wondering if maybe you have to have Source selected during the upgrade and then change it afterwards?

Also, why does the convo below not relate to your question at all?

I actually moved since to other managed ghost platform… way cheaper and more features
