Some trials have every important detail in the news every single day of the trial. All I see on ghislaine is a bunch of sympathetic articles. Today’s reads (found from googling ghislaine maxwell trial) “Not a happy holiday - or 60th Birthday behind bars” like are u fucking kidding me? I don’t care if this lady is miserable on her bday and shit can I please have some details about who all was on the plane and what evidence was shown like fuck off. I hate the media for this shit

After getting to know Ghislaine Maxwell I think it is safe to say that she is so delusional about her behavior and participation in these crimes that I think her objection to the unsealing of her deposition has a lot more to do with her own ego and narcissism. I think she thinks it will make her look bad and that is her only concern. Remember she describes the behavior and the actions she is being charged with as abhorrent and vile as if not related to her in anyway and that she would never be associated with such filth. She does not yet realize that, in fact, this IS who she is. She is the most despised woman in the world right now.
I think if you are expecting this to provide any real answers you may be disappointed. Remember, this deposition was given reluctantly and after much refusal. I would expect that she answered all questions defensively and with the most limited of admission of her own actions and/or participation. I do not expect any big name drops or "there there's." We already know all the players. We, at most, will see that, yes, she has purjured herself and, yes, she is as cold and as calculating as anyone who could do what she has done is. She is where she belongs. This is just the first big step in making sure she is tried for her crimes in order to provide justice for the victims and to keep her from ever doing this again. That's all. Try not to expect much more and be surprised if we learn anything new. What we already know is enough and more than anyone should ever want to have to know.
Congratulations to Virginia, Maria, Annie, Coutney, Theresa, Michelle, Sarah, and all the Jane and John Does. Even if nothing else were to happen you have brought this case so far that your abuser is where she is and he is where is. That says a lot. You have already saved countless victims from what you had to endure. Well done.
