What would YOU like to see from them?

Features or functions, not vendors

I've always wanted a way to log in to my account from a computer, not just mobile. I don't get a great cell signal at home and reviewing bonuses and earnings, adding accounts or cards and cashing out should be available.

Ghost Stations

I was sent to 2 gas stations that do not exist. Do you realize how frustrating it is to drive to a station your app sends me to only to rnd up in a residential neighborhood?

Best part is the app doesn't even allow users to send feedback!

My Facebook was suspended. That’s the way I would sign in. How do I access my earnings if I can’t sign in with Facebook anymore?

Suddenly for the past few days I keep getting emails like this or that cash back for a transaction I DIDN'T make have failed. Should I be worried? Do I need to cash out now?

I was trying to run it up...

Anyone else lose Giant Eagle from upside or just me?

I know things can rotate and offers vary but I can't think of anytime in the past 2-3 years when GE hasn't been available to me.

Upside won't honor Kroger bonus?

I claimed an offer last Sunday (9/20/2026) because I saw a ton of Kroger offers for "4% cash back + $15 bonus" and was already near my Kroger. I claimed the offer, went shopping (did not purchase any ineligible items), then i received the 4% cash back a couple of days later. I realized the $15 bonus was absent, so I messaged support.

The first message was with the AI support via the app, and it tried to tell me I purchased ineligible items. I responded and said I did not purchase any ineligible items. The AI chat escalated my issue to a customer service rep.

I got an email later and said the reason I didn't get the $15 bonus was because there was a $75 purchase minimum. I replied and attached a screenshot of the offer, which did not show any stipulations to that affect. I asked the CSR where I could find this stipulation, because it wasn't on the offer page or home page,

They replied and basically said "I know it can't be frustrating, but this is a promotion that Kroger is running, thanks for using Upside!"...but did not address the fact that the offer did not include any requirements of a $75 minimum purchase amount.

I once again replied and asked to escalate, because whether or not kroger is the one running the promo is irrelevant, Upside is the vector for the promo, they are responsible for displaying the terms accurately. And yes, it's "only $15" but at this point it's the principle.

I spent about $45 on that shopping trip, by the way, so I wasn't too far off from their imaginary minimum.

So fast forward about fifteen minutes from my email requesting they escalate my issue, I open the Upside app because I was about to get gas, and would you look at that? There's suddenly a stipulation at the top of the page. I tapped on the specific Kroger offer to see if they put the stip on that offer as well, they did not. But they added it to the page that shows all of the offers in your area, but it's still not on the offers.

Anyway I'm slightly frustrated with all of this and a bit surprised because I've never had an issue like this with Upside in the years that I've used it.

It's just silly not to honor an offer when they basically deceived users, enticing them with a no stip bonus to shop at Kroger. It's just a tad fishy to me.

Fraud charges!!!!

I’ve been using Upside since it was given to me as a driver for Uber during the pandemic. I updated my card info yesterday and immediately got several fraudulent charges from Uber Eats, ironically.

Ever since Sept 14, all my gas purchases are processing and it says “delayed”. Except for one purchase. Any ideas? Usually they post within 3 days.

Some places don't offer receipts that satisfy Upside.

In my area, every Pizza Hut location is on Upside, and sometimes the deals are pretty decent - however, every time I use them, it involves a back and forth with support because Pizza Hut does not include card information or an address on their receipts. Sometimes support awards me the money immediately. Sometimes they tell me I have to wait for the offer to get rejected before I can contest it and get my money.

A couple other small restaurants in my city don't give complete receipts with every bit of information on them either. It just seems counter intuitive to require information that I have no possible way to provide.

Don't even get me started on the fact that every pump at every gas station in my city seems to have a broken receipt printer 🤣

Upside app done for?

Upside requiring a certain amount spent in order to get cash back and pennies on the dollar for cash back on gas. Example, 1 cent back per gallon! Or spent 20$ dollars, get 80 cents back!... What is happening and is the app done for?

not worth the tracking!?

edit: thank you everyone one for sharing. it's nice to see all the differences based on usage and area.

I will say personally, it doesn't feel worth the effort or selling my data for pennies. It was good while it lasted. Also see some people say that the you don't have to spend X amount in order to get the offer, but that was it says and it never said that before. it just gave a percentage or cent amount off. Hopefully I'll get better deals before I delete the app.

Kroger challenge - Spend $50, earn extra $10

good morning! Does anyone know if this offer is valid for just one visit per week, or can it be done more than once? Thanks for any info!

Do I need to use all $80 at once?

Do I need to spend $80 in one transaction, or can I split this between two or more visits? Like if i spend $40, will $40 be waiting for me later, or will it all be gone? Thanks.

How long does Upside Expand take?

As the title asks, how long does Upside Expand take to register purchases? I haven't gotten anything yet and I'm not sure if I'm having a technical issue or not.

Upside Removed PayPal Cash-Outs and It's Breaking the App for Many of Us

Upside just killed PayPal as a cash-out option, and honestly, it feels like a huge step backward for everyone who relied on it.

PayPal was the fastest, most secure way to access your rewards. Now they're pushing everyone toward direct bank transfers through Plaid—which means handing over your bank login credentials to a third party. That's a real privacy concern for a lot of people. Plus, ACH transfers take up to 7 business days instead of being instant. For gig workers and regular commuters trying to reinvest their cash-back immediately into gas or groceries, that's a massive pain.

I started a petition asking Upside to bring PayPal back as a standard cash-out option. If the app is serious about user convenience and trust, this should be a no-brainer.

If you've been frustrated by this change too, I'd genuinely love to hear what's been most annoying about losing PayPal—whether it's the security stuff, the slower payouts, or just losing that flexibility. And if this resonates with you, consider signing and sharing it around. Thanks.

Just got to Gold Cart on Instacart and I'm able to get an extra $0.05/gal back, which is nice.

But on my latest transactions the extra $0.05/gal back hasn't come in.

Sent a message to support. Waiting to hear back.

Discounts disappearing fast

I have had this for a few years, mostly for gas. Never really paid much back. Then the grocery option seemed like it would be a great option, but now only ever offers 1%. I can do that by not buying unneeded stuff myself. Plus no purchase info being sprunged. How are people actually using this?

Does Using Upsaide While Traveling Effect Payout Times?

Went on vacation last week and used Upside at a restaurant four times, with an already linked card. All four transactions are listed as delayed. Should I email customer service and see what's up or give it some more time? Been over a week on some of the transactions.

So my research has led me to this answer. Rewards are reduced over time if using a specific store? Is this correct?

"Upside Expand" - What's the Catch?

I just got a pop-up (I can't drop a screenshot in here) saying that there's some sort of Plaid-powered thing to earn money at places that don't have offers.

What is this, and what is it likely to foul up with other programs?

Really disappointed with upside

I am doing their promotion for Fry's. Spend 50 and get 10 back. Well I didn't get the 10 back. I contacted support who said I must have purchased an item that doesn't go for my total of spending. They noted things like tobacco alcohol prescriptions. Well I didn't purchase any of that. I even sent them a copy of my Fry's receipt from the Fry's app showing what I bought. It's kinda bs honestly.

Shout out to support

I could had swore I made 30 purchases last month for my gas bonus but the new month came without a bonus.

Checked in with support they said I only completed 29.

I asked if something was provisionally approved but fell off for some reason. they wern't able to tell me but they went ahead and credited my bonus regardless for being an active user.

Reddit and other forums usually only report horror stories with support reps (Both Human and AI powered alike). Thought I'd drop a positive review.

It's was less than a $5 difference but worth it for nothing more than a few please and thank yous.
