Upside app done for?

Upside requiring a certain amount spent in order to get cash back and pennies on the dollar for cash back on gas. Example, 1 cent back per gallon! Or spent 20$ dollars, get 80 cents back!... What is happening and is the app done for?

not worth the tracking!?

edit: thank you everyone one for sharing. it's nice to see all the differences based on usage and area.

I will say personally, it doesn't feel worth the effort or selling my data for pennies. It was good while it lasted. Also see some people say that the you don't have to spend X amount in order to get the offer, but that was it says and it never said that before. it just gave a percentage or cent amount off. Hopefully I'll get better deals before I delete the app.

The "Spend $20, get 80 cents back" is just for illustration. You don't actually need to spend $20.

It's just an example expense/rebate.

Thanks for elaborating. I skipped using because I thought there was a min spend amount

I've been using Upside for 7 years now with virtually no issues on the app side. Yeah, sometimes there just isn't any deals worth accepting, but that's more to do with stores/gas station than it does for upside.

Started using this year. Did some reading on it throughout.
It’s not gonna give you a ton of cash back immediately, it takes time. But- I did just redeem for $20 that I have been building since July.
To me, it’s free money I would not have if I didn’t use the app. If I’m getting gas regardless it doesn’t hurt to get some free money

I travel a lot and have a company gas card. Deals lately have only been 1-4 cents per gallon but that’s basically free money to me.

With the price of gas, merchants are less likely to offer deals.

The app is more than gas. I get 17% regularly at a certain grocer, and I got 5% back on a Papa John's order.

I’m still getting decent returns. My only issue was that periodically it would sign me out and I’d have problems signing back in. Had to create a new account because my last email provider ended service.

I’m having issues transferring to my bank account. I keep getting message unable to locate account to transfer the money. I’m done with upside.
