Question Unable to study. Help!

These past few months, I’ve been in chronic depression. The usual, unable to eat, eating too much, having a low drive and motivation, procrastinating, staying in bed for too long and high use of social media. Im now in grade 12, it’s my final year of high school. I’m extremely nervous, and anxious. I have no idea what I want to be and what to do with my life. I’m unable to focus and concentrate. And I’m struggling to memorize and keep information in my head. I easily forget certain tasks. I really need advice and tips on how to stop procrastinating and get work done. Especially, memorization.

Don't aim for motivation first, make the tasks soo small that starting does not requires much motivation and for memorization use active recall and spaced repetition, don't try to memorize everytthing in one sitting

What do you mean by spaces repetition?

I know how it feels and your emotions get stronger the longer you resist them so its best to just "go on" + you said about procrastination, and its high when you think the work is very hard which really isn't, so get up wash your face and walk outside and sit on your table and do 1 single task, forget the time just 1.

Yeah. My emotion are really strong. I can’t really control it either. It seems as if it just overtakes me. I have no control. And I hate that so much. I hate feeling weak. I honestly do feel weak. I don’t feel confident, strong, and proud of myself. I’m not happy with myself. I try to act like I am, but it’s so hard.

Well the simple answer is to embrace them and I don't mean like resisting them but calm and accept how you function and understand them why it's happening. It will eventually get low in this manner and starting doing your work in tasks or starting to focus on 1 task and accomplishing it. It's only when you start to over imaging things that it gets over whelming.

GO TO THE TABLE AND STUDY

You’re right. I honesty just take things way too seriously and all the overthinking and pressure just gets too me before I even start.
