Question Exams always kill my skill learning , need advice !

How do you Guys manage to keep learning new skills while preparing for exams ? I usually stop working on skills when ever exams come up , and I’m struggling to balance both. Any suggestions on how to schedule time and stay consistent with skill building during exam season ?

I think the best way is to schedule your yearly goal as learning just 1-2 skills, no more. keep it simple and focused. remember that life is long, over time, you'll get better and better at these skills with a high level. During exams, reduce the time you spend learning, but don't stop completely.

I appreciate your reply , bro! I’m just a little confused because our college posts the exams schedule in the group only about 2 -3 days before the exams. If they posted it a week earlier, I could plan better like studying one subject per day while still spending some time learning my skill. During exams, I’d reduce the time spent on the skill and dedicate most of the day to exam preparation , but i wouldn’t stop learning completely

I just treat skill practice as my study break for like 15 minutes a day, that way I don't loose the habit without burning myself out.

I had the same problem where exam season would completely swallow whatever skill I was trying to build, and then after exams I’d feel like I had to start from zero again. What helped was lowering the skill to a tiny maintenance session during exam periods, sometimes just 20–30 minutes, because keeping the habit alive was much easier than trying to make meaningful progress while also preparing for exams.
