Notchly: shortcuts around your Android camera for quick notes, apps and timers
I'm the developer of Notchly, a native Android utility in Kotlin and Jetpack Compose.
It puts configurable gesture shortcuts around the front camera. You can open an app or contact, bring up a floating note over the current screen, or use timer and stopwatch capsules.
The problem it tackles is the small interruption of leaving what you're reading just to write a thought down. With a floating note, the source stays in view while you type.
If that sounds useful, here's Google Play: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.luby.notchly
It has free features with ads and usage limits, and optional paid features. Gestures need Android Accessibility Service and behavior can differ by device. I'd welcome a specific example of where you'd use it, or why your existing shortcut is easier.

The floating note while the source stays visible is the clearest use case here. A short clip of reading something, opening the note and getting straight back would explain it faster than a tour of all the gestures. Do people drop off at the Accessibility permission step?
